Entrance Preview

The admission is based on class 12th board exam marks. The cutoffs are declared and people meeting the criteria are given admission. I scored 97% in 12th boards in best 4 subjects in which English is compulsory. I opted for the college because it is among the top 3 best art college in India.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is decided by DU. It is mostly theoretical yet the teachers try to make it interesting by helping us right research papers, encouraging students in research. Usually, all electives are offered and the students have the liberty to make their choice.

Internships Opportunities

The placement cell at LSR is very active. Lot of internship facilities comes our way. Some are paid and some are not paid. Avg stipend would be around 3k and in general can go high as 70k

Placement Experience

4

As said earlier, the placement cell is active. Biggest names come to the college like Boston consulting group, Citi bank, bain.etc. Lsr gave the highest package of 32 lakhs offered by Bank of America. But the companies come mainly for eco, commerce, maths, and stats. All the help relating to CV and cover letters are provided

College Events

3

Every department has its fest. The annual college fest we organized in Feb which is a 3-day program and one of the best fests in DU. Before Diwali, the NSS organization organizes the Diwali Mela where the profits are distributed to the underprivileged. Nexus is the winter counterpart of Diwali Mela. Several talks, panel discussions, movie screening happen throughout the year

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure is very less. My yearly fees were around 16k. It may be high compared to other colleges of DU but the facilities offered are totally worth the money. And when compared to other private colleges, it is a very small amount It is feasible.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have no idea about it but there are scholarships offered by the college. The fees per annum are very low and the hotel fees are minimal.

Campus Life

4

I lived in the pg so no idea about campus life. LSR supports students from all walks of life, from different states and countries, with disabilities. Yet, it is unbiased to all. The gates are open to all and are warmly welcomed. LSR is very active as far as the extracurricular is concerned. We have different societies and everyone has a place they can call there own

Hostel Facilities

2.5

I live in a pg in GK1. The average rent is around 16000 for 3 siitter and 18000 for sitters. The pg is like a small hostel with 60 girls. The food is homemade and okay as compared to other pgs. The owners live in the house on the ground floor which provides safety. They don't interfere in our lives but makes sure that we are okay. There are 4-5 female servants to cater to our needs all the time. The rooms are big and airconditioned

Alumni/Alumna

Personally, i did not find them to be of any help to me but I will not generalise any one. If you are friends with seniors; they are of great help

Exam Structure

The cirriculum is hectic at LSR. The classes start at 8:45 and ends at 5:30. We have monthly tests and assigments but the dates are kept after taking consideration of the issues of the students. Before the sem exams, the students are given a preparatory leave of around 15 days and during that period only, practicals are held

Admission

The admission is a system process at LSR. It is convenient. First step is to verify the enrollment form of du and whether you clear the cutoff criteria. Then you are sent to the room according to your course where you submit your documents and fees. And done, you are admitted

Faculty

4.5

Teachers have so much knowledge that one cant even imagine. They are passionate and love teaching. Definitely, the teachers give LSR the name it has. Teachers are experienced and some have been teaching for more than 40 years. They are always ready to help and take great pains in teaching the students. They are regular and are always ready to support and help students outside classes always.

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
