Course Curriculum Overview

I always loved computer and technology. There are around 2200 students in SOCS first year and around 150 faculties. There are many faculties with doctorate from IIT AND NIT. So there is a lot to learn from them.There teaching style is quite unique and You have to work your way through. Mid semester and End semester always take place on time and they are quite difficult to pass.

Internships Opportunities

Microsoft , IBM ,Dell are some of the companies and roles offered are Data Analyst and Web Developer etc. The projects and skills is the most important part to get job from here at upes .So you should always focus on the skills you develop throughout 4 year.

Placement Experience

From 6 or 7th Semester students become eligible for campus placements . Around 165 companies visited and 2200 offers were made. Highest package was 45 lakhs and Average package was 8.5 Lakhs. 94% students were placed the school of computer science. My plans after getting the degree is of getting a job in corporate sector.

Fees and Financial Aid

There fees hike policy every year so yes 4 years from UPES cost a hefty dent on your bank account . Cost to study Btech around 2600000. Scholarship is available for students who performed well at 12th board exam and JEE Main , CUET . Finanacial Assistance is available for students who need it. You will get placed and get job with stipend.

Campus Life

Uurja and Uhackthon it take place around November and September respectively. There huge collection for books and journals in the library and you will get books from any specialization and field . Classroom have projectors and is provided with a lot of space. But There is No Ac provided. Go Green and NSS are examples of the social groups , Clubs or website run by the students

Admission

This course is eligible for students who secured above 50% in 12th and same for class 10th . You can find the application form at the upes website and application fees cost around 1300 rupees and application dates is announced after completions of class 12th exams . Yes there is reservation benefits for people from uttarakhand. No there is no scope for improvement in admission process.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of its affordability and the teaching quality of this college is good . They helps in choosing the real life application based projects . Teaching methods are impressive but they don't provide notes . We have make notes by attending class regularly. Frequency and timings of exams are of 3 hrs. For each subject . Difficulty level is moderate and students can prepare it well in the gap days also .

IIT Roorkee is the best one can get on overall basis.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement starts in Semester 7 and 8 for can say, in the last of graduation. HUL,TCS, Microsoft,JP Morgan and many huge companies visit campus for placements. Highest pakage in placement goes around 1.5 crore annually to lowest pakage around 8 LPA. Companies mainly comes for SDE role. But apart that few comes for PM, Data Science, Consulting profiles as well.

Best college of uttrakhand

Remarks:

A very good college. There is no spoon feeding scene like that of private institute. As good ranking students are there you can have a good academic competition which will nurture your ability and groom to you be a better engineer.

UPES CSE Program provide the best insights!

No safety nets for getting admission in UPES as university is strict in taking students. UPES Engineering Admission Test also known as UPESAT has to be cleared.
