Navigating exellence : IIT GUWAHATI

Because of My jee advanced rank and past year feedback for ECE and its future demand i chose this course. faculty student ratio is good enough and there are TAs for some specific number of students which makes it more even. Faculties are PHD holders from reputed institute which good teaching methods, except a few of them who use to read the lect slides only. There are midsems and endsems which are conducted at the mid and end of the semester respectively and the quizzes are conducted according to professors . Generally there are two quizzes per subject one before midsem and one after.Exams are a bit difficult but it totally depend on the course and faculty . But previous year papers are very helpfull which makes them quiet easy,

Big MnCs like amazon , microsoft , google etc offer internships to UG Students for SDE , SWE , product manager etc giving them stipend according to their preparation . These companies give them opportunies twice a year i.e Summer intern and winter intern.

after 7th sem UG students become eligible for campus placements, placements are uiet good in IIT guwahati according to status approximately 95% students get placed every year from iit guwahati, and rest students get placed from outside campus after completion of there degree . highest package offered this year was 2.05cr international and 1.2 cr domestic. about 11 students got 1cr+ and 90 students got 50lpa+

In IIT guwahati 1,30,000 Rs is the approximate fees for one semester including hostel fee and mess.there are few scholarships granted by college for economicaly weaker,OBCs,ST ,SC,PWDs. i myself did not recieved any of these.

Alcheringa is the Annual cultural fest conducted by IIT Guwahati and it is the biggest fest in North East india. Techfest conducted by IIt guwahati is named Techniche. IIT GUWAHATI IS said to be the most beautiful IIT and so it is. The campus is calm and silent free from crowd .iit guwahati has a central library apart from hostel library.the centrallibrary contains every book needed for any subject or interest.the campus has facility of almost every sport .There are clubs for extracurriculars including sports , dance etc and also for academic related tings like coding club, game dev,web dev etc. Inter IIts are conducted for every sport and extracurricuar activities.There are outlets for food and to hangout with friends within the campus.

IIT guwahati provide double sharing room as of Today untill 2nd year and then single rooms from 3rd year for UG students. Rooms are not much spacious for double occupancy but are big enough for single occupancy.Meal quality depends on the caterer of the hostel and can vary but it is good enough according to fee. fee of hodtel is included inn college fee you do not have to pay seperate fee for hostel.Every student has to live in hostel.

the eligibility of getting admission in IITs is to complete 10+2 in focus of science subjects (P,C,M) and the candidate should also qualify jee mains examination folowed by jee advanced , the branches and IITs are alloted according to the rank in jee advanced. Counselling for IITs are done by Josaa counselling. you can find applicationn form for jee mains from its official website of NTA.Fee for JEE mains application form is 1000 for male(UR/OBC/EWS) 800 female(UR/OBC/EWS) and 500 (SC/ST/TRANSGENDER/PWDs). etails for reservation benefits can be found on brochure (as me myself did not availed any reservation). The reservation policy should be modified for fair admission.

for admission i gave two entrance exams jee mains and jee advanced, on the basis of rank i got in these exam i applied for counselling in IITs and was alloted IIT Guwahati ECE , I prepared two years my 11th and 12th class for these exams.
