Course Curriculum Overview
I had keen intrest in geography so I choose pluse cherry on the cake, is that it is 3rd best University in the country and technically best for bachelors in geography. Faculties are well qualified and experienced like prof masood siddiqui, one of the best cartographer of our country and lost goes on... Students teachers ratio is also quite impressive it is 25:1. Paper and their results are happen to be on time . And it is not that much difficult to pass because 100 marks is distributed in internals and main paper .100=60sem exams+40 internals . And internals are of from sem topics of the syllabus so it is not that much hard to go through.
Internships Opportunities
Officially As such internship is not provided by college but you can go by your own according to your subject and your intrest here group of students are there to guide you . And you can see posters for different internship opportunities
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees is very nominal as it is a central university. Fee hikes haven't happen from last 6-7 years . It is 7200 for a year . They provide scholarship for all the students based on different criteria. Like apj Abdul Kalam scholarship
Campus Life
As jmi is a muslim minority university so fest do not happen on big level . Like you will not get to see musicians and dancer . But some of the department manager to do on their own. Books are easily available in central library you can get 4 books for 15 days in one go. Classrooms are not very morden but yeah projecters are there . For sports we have all facilities. There are officially 4 clubs which are not that much active . I.e Music , dance, drama ,quiz.
Hostel Facilities
I got hostel. We have facilities of reading room it is good . Electricity is there for all the time . They installed geysers this time on all the floors . Room accomodation is for 3 person they are given a table ,chair, cupboard,and bed seperately. Food is perfect just delicious ????. Getting hostel is very tough coz rooms are very less but students are so much.
Admission
The minimum eligibility was 45%in board exam class 12th . After that an entrance exam was taken for students . Compitition is bit tough. You can check their website regularly for exam forms and syllabus.i had not availed any reservation benifits. It must be more transparance .
