Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), a NAAC A++ accredited Central University ranked 4th among universities in NIRF 2025, offers the B.A./B.Sc. (Hons.) in Geography (Program Code: B55) through the Department of Geography, Faculty of Sciences. The program is a 4-year full-time on-campus course structured across 8 semesters, with 60 seats available. The annual fee is Rs. 10,775 (as per 2026-27 prospectus). Admission is through JMI's own entrance test. The degree awarded depends on the stream of the candidate: Science stream students receive B.Sc. (Hons.) and Arts stream students receive B.A. (Hons.). The department has strong research credentials in geospatial technologies, urban and social environment, and disaster management, making it one of the most well-equipped geography departments in Delhi.

Admissions for the 2026-27 session are currently ongoing. The application window opened on February 20, 2026, and the last date to apply was April 2, 2026 (extended). The entrance test for B.A./B.Sc. (Hons.) Geography (B55) is scheduled for April 29, 2026 (3:00 PM to 4:30 PM) at the Department of Geography, JMI. Results are expected within 20-25 days of the test.

Ans. The entrance test is moderately to highly competitive with 60 seats available. In 2025, the general category cut-off was 68.00 marks out of 100. For Muslim category, it was 61.25, and for Muslim OBC/ST, it was 58.00. The test is based on +2 level CBSE content covering Language Skill, General Awareness, Reasoning/Logic, and Social Awareness.
