Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I choose this course because I wanted to acquire a proficiency in plays, theatre and novels. And I am very happy with the faculty and study culture here. I am in a class of around 100 students which is further divided into groups for the faculty to have a proper look at every student. The faculty sometimes seem overqualified by the skill and knowledge they possess. They are all experienced and seasoned in teaching. Apart from that we have regular assignments and tests at the end of the semester followed the term exams. These term exams are very important to enter the next sem. Each term or semester runs for around 5-6 months and these exams are very easy to pass if you have attended the classes regularly. And if not so, the teachers are ready to help whenever you want them to.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Internships opportunities are ample and available to all the domains. The internship are controlled by Internship cell as they bring in companies. Since my admission in HRC, I have seen many companies offering internship with a stipend of more than 4-5K per month. The companies offering internships are recognised and important to glorify your resume.

Fees and Financial Aid

HRC is a government aided college and thus the fees is very low as compared to the private colleges. The fees averages at 20-25K annually. The fee hikes are not that frequent and cost to study is also manageable. The campus has a library which operates till 8 in the evening saving the library expenses for the student. The books are easily available either in the college stationery shop or any nearby book shop. The only backdrop is the low capacity of hostel. Students have to find a place to live near the college which can cost you around 1.2L or above per year. Moreover financial aids, scholarship are available and updates about them are regular. Internships offered are good. The IC of the college works really well providing internship with a stipend of 3-5k per month at the minimum.

Campus Life

4.5

The college life is very pleasant. Being in any north campus UoD college is an otherworldly experience. You form a community within the campus. The societies are the sources for you to break out of your studies. You have Oorja (western dance), HDS (Dramatics), Swaranjali (singing), kalakriti (Indian dance) and many many more including academic, business and service socs as well. Sports culture is nice. The selections are opened at the beginning of the admission and if you qualify you make a place in the team. Matches and practices are regular. Major sports that I have witnessed in HRC are Shooting, Archery, Football, Hockey and Badminton. Moreover if you are not that skilled at a game, you can still borrow the equipment from the sports ground and play in the ground itself. Classrooms are well ventilated with ACs and Projectors in smooth working condition. Fests and events are regular. The freshers (Dept and college), NSS melas and other events are frequent.

Admission

The admission process was very very smooth. CUET barged in because of NEP 2020 which made the admission process very smooth. There was issues with the answer key and result but that was at last fixed. And I got into one of the top institutions of the country. The application forms, fees and dates can be found on the CUET or NTA portal. Reservations are available for SC, ST, OBC, EWS and admission are easier for the ECAs. The result system could have been better, apart from that everything's was neat and nice. The course took students on a cut off which was pretty fair for the colleges concerned. I scored around 95-96 percentile in CUET to get into HRC

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
