Course Curriculum Overview

The course in of itself is very easy and doable. The faculty is very nice. Archana Jamatia ma'am is the best teacher one can hope for. The management is also very very cooperative and helpful couldn't find anything better in my opinion. Teachers are very observant during class and help each student's weak point and tries to better everyone in a holistic manner. Exams were very timely and very serious. I am not sure about the qualification of the faculty.

Internships Opportunities

5

Every DU college has a placement cell affiliated with the main university portal. Many notifications come from alot of companies and startups. Like Amazon, Google, The leading solutions, 99 acres, NEC coporation of India. Actually Delhi University has a portal for websites to apply for intership offers for students and then DU sends these offers for students to apply.

Placement Experience

5

Our college takes placements seriously, and it's buzzing with opportunities. There's this active WhatsApp group where the management regularly sends out internship and placement offers. It's practically a job hub right in our pockets, with notifications popping up every week. students become eligible for campus placements from the first semester itself. It's pretty forward-thinking, I must say. This early start allows us to explore possibilities right from the beginning of our academic journey. The Delhi Placement Cell has been a game-changer. It constantly updates us on opportunities from various startups and big names. Some notable companies that have come up include Qualicentric, JODO, Hindustan Times, and even Amazon. The college has a strong support system in place, including placement cells and career counseling services. They guide us through the process, help with resume building, and even conduct mock interviews to prepare us for the real deal. Apart from placements, the f

Fees and Financial Aid

Currently, I'm looking at an annual tuition fee of 22,000 rupees. Keep in mind that this is an estimate, and the actual fee might vary. It's always a good idea to check with the college administration or their official website for the most accurate and up-to-date information. Now, when it comes to financial assistance and scholarships, I've been exploring my options. Ramanujan College usually offers various scholarships, including merit-based ones for good academic performance, need-based assistance for those facing financial constraints, and possibly even scholarships from the University Grants Commission (UGC). I'm planning to reach out to the college's financial aid office to get more details on the available opportunities and how to apply. On the topic of on-campus jobs, I've heard that there are often opportunities available. These could range from library or research positions to part-time roles in the college canteen or bookstore. I'll definitely keep an eye on the bulletin bo

Campus Life

The social scene here is fantastic. The campus is a melting pot of different personalities and backgrounds. Making friends has been easy, and there are plenty of opportunities to socialize, whether it's during breaks, at the cafeteria, or at various college events. The diversity of the student body really adds to the richness of our interactions. Ramanujan College has a range of clubs catering to diverse interests. From philosophy discussion groups to photography clubs, there's something for everyone. These clubs not only provide an avenue to pursue hobbies but also foster a sense of community. The infrastructure is pretty good too. We have well-equipped classrooms, modern laboratories, and a spacious library. Speaking of the library, it's a haven for book lovers. There's an extensive collection of books covering various subjects, including philosophy. The availability of journals also supports our academic endeavors. Whether I need reference material for assignments or just want to

Admission

I took the cuet exam and had humanities as my 12th stream. I gave exams for psychology, english, history, political science, physical education. The eligibility of all courses of DU and many others courses was changed in my year to a singular exam called CUET. I gave the test and got 680/800 and I took admission here. The appliction form can be found for the same via a quick google search.

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
