Likes

The facilities are well experienced and teaching is effective
Programs they conduct are good and enjoyable
Friend circle is good and Kozhikode is an amazing district where we can explore good things

Dislikes

Campus is too small ,there is no enough space for a ground
There is not having a proper stage to conduct programmes all we have a basket ball court
There is no sufficient plants to feels like it's a good college

Course Curriculum Overview

I opted course only because I haven't had any other options.There is sufficient number of faculty,all are well experienced and been here from the beginning of this course.The teaching is very effective.They conduct internal exam every 2 months gap .This course is little bit difficult to pass

Class Size: 72Course Fees: INR 1500 per year

Placement Experience

From the 6th semester students are eligible for placements,if they cleared all the subjects.Although the companies visit here are all based on it field. Core companies are rare .Half of the students in a class get placed

Fees and Financial Aid

They provide stipend for almost every student studying here through e-grantz.The only cost to study here is the exam fee and the hostel fee for the ladies.And for sc/st students and orc students there is a fee hike also

Campus Life

It's a small campus.Beyond that all programs for enjoying the students conducted here.The tech fest called Lakshya is a mesmerizing event.Art fest name is Malhar.Nss,EEE,Iste and other clubs are available

Admission

There is a Kerala entrance exam called KEAM.After writing exam and publishing results you have to submit the allotment,After that according to the criteria students are taken to the colleges.I am an oec category person so I availed that reservation benefits during my admission

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
