JOURNEY in STCET

I choose this course because I am interested in my domain that is electronics and communication and I like to study about circuit design and the knowledge of blsi technology for cheap design purpose. In our department we have 10 teachers including our HOD sir and the faculty student ratio is 6:1 all for faculty are well educated from well known institute from or state and all are hold PHD or Mtech. In their specialist domain. The semester exams mainly conducted by the University and from last 1 to 2 years its become tough to score outstanding in the city exam because the level of question is become too much moderate and and mainly out from the last previous years assumption ,so every one have to study their course curriculum very strictly and and one other thing is that the Guard is very strict in every colleges under the university because they have CCTV surveillance. The semester has 6 months schedule including the final examination .

The campus placement mainly starts from the 7th semester that is the starting of the fourth year. The main visitor companies are service based IT company that is cognizant, Infosys, Wipro ,mindtree etc. Average package is decent like 4 lpa and highest package on campus is 8-9 LPA . Generally all students can placed in the companies but the main criteria is that he has to have good coding knowledge with problem solving skills. If you want to know about my plans after the course degree that is my main plan is to get a job in any company but main my main focus is on pursuing masters degree after Btech. as for my interest.

In my course at my admission time the fees for inter course is 3.81 lacs but currently I seeing that the course fees is hike by one to 1.5 lakhs recently in every colleges including my college under the University. The college is enlisted for every scholarship aidded by both the state government and the central government the mainly the scholarship facility that all students have is SVMCM scholarship given by Statement government which gives 60000 per year . (The main criteria is you have to score 60% on the previous examination you passed. ) Other form that there is various facility if you are from EWS or TFW category in the time of counselling . The campus placement opportunity is very good that has decent amount that is 4 lakh per annum ,mainly offered by the service based companies like TCS Wipro Cognizant etc. they allow students from every branch criteria is he should have decent or good good amount of coding knowledge.

The college does not have any annual fest event. The main to events in the year is the freshers party( October) and farewell of final year students (May-June) besides they organised tech. fest sometimes . The college has very good library facility you can get any kind of book from your course or other domains very easily from the library and every year the college especially reached department published the magazine had some of the students are the faculty members are written some general or some article based on the modern technology and and specialised domains in science. Classrooms are moderate level with intake capacity of 60 students and the sports and extra curricular activities is very good that has every sports events for both girls and boys like cricket ,football ,badminton ,table tennis etc. It's feeling sad to say that the college doesn't have any social group or website maintained by the students.

The college has mainly three type of admission process . First is through WBJEE counselling and second is JEE Main counselling (Conducted by West Bengal board) and the third is from direct admission by management quota. Majorly the seeds are filled by counselling process remaining three or four seats per branch is justified by the college authority either it should be filled or be vacant.
