- connectivity here is the worst like you have to take a auto to reach college it also takes 1 hr something due to small roads and .
- People eat tambul here its the worst smell you will experience here .
- further our college is located far away from city and it takes 40 rupees to reach city .
Course Curriculum Overview
Till now curriculum is easy for 1st year only if he or she studies everyday . Well from my opinion college is about what you want to do . so yeah you might enjoy your first year too if you don't want to change your branch here. Worst thing here is they don't have online system they still use old methods of teaching thats it .
Internships Opportunities
well right now I don't have much idea but yeah 25% of 3rd year people gets internships you can get a idea from NIT Silchar website . the summer internship program attempts to brig together studensts from prominent institution across the country . it will allow external and internal students to participate in research projects , undergo mentor ship by faculties of NIT Silchar there by leading to close conglomeratess and collaboratioins betweeen respective institutions
Fees and Financial Aid
yeah so many scholarships here are available if your income is less than 5 lacs or obc or SC, ST. but for people like me above 5 lacs and general its hard . total fee in 2nd sem is 95k and in first it was nearly 1.20 lacs (intial costs). Well there is SBI if you want loan they also mostly prefer people below 5 lacs income :)
Campus Life
Its awesome you know the ratio yeah . well festivals were not as good as private colleges but yeah decent enough . And about sports you will get plenty of opportunities . There are soo many clubs at the end of the 1st year you will think which one to join or not .
Hostel Facilities
Meal is edible . In hostels you get bed desk and chair and almirah further drinking water is available ( yeah its assam :) ) . No water heating facility and no automatic washing machine one washer( comes and takes all the cloths and charges 10 /- for each cloth. Well toilets are not cleaned daily but weakly .
Admission
NIT Silchar is located in Silchar, Assam, India. The cut-off scores for admission can vary each year based on factors like the number of applicants, the difficulty of the entrance exam, and the overall performance of the candidates.For general it is 97.4 percentile for electrical engineering .
