Course Curriculum Overview

The curiculum was not that difficult even though the first year seem to be irrelevant for the next years it is only moderatly hard to study. It is easy to score good marks and attain a good cgpa. But the exams are spaced so conjustedly it might be hard for some students.

Class Size: 53Course Fees: INR 35000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for merit students is 35000 a year there are other fees like hostel pta etc overall it can cost about 2 to 3 lakhs for full course in merit. In management and nri the prices will go up. There are several scholarship available such as egranz.

Campus Life

The fests in collages are not grand it is very good considering the college's small strength of students. There is an arts day and a sports day and other festival like onam christmas holi are celebrated there is also a freshers day in the college.

Admission

Admissions was easy it was based on ranking of keam exam. Keam is an entrance by kerala government. The is cut off is 30000 so it is easy to get admission. The application form and fee detail are on website and is available in college. If you have opted for this college in keam exam then if you are eligible the college will contact you.

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Eligibility for this course is 12th standard. So I have basically done by BTech degree in Computer Science and Engineering from College of Engineering Kottarakkara anyone can avail admission to this college by writing an entrance exam called Kerala Engineering and Medical Entrance exam also known as keam. Minimum eligibility for writing this sentence exam is 12th grade. Application form for this entrance exam can be found in the website called CE Kerala this website is the website of the controller of entrance examinations for various examinations conducted by the state of Kerala.No reservation benefits were availed by me as I am a General categories student. The exam is basically of 3 hours and it consist of physics,chemistry and maths and the exam is much easier compared to JEE exams. after writing this exam, a rank list is published based on the mark you scored in the exam and the marks scored by you in Physics Maths and Chemistry in your 12th grade. after that you can get admission in your preferred college according to rank...Read More
