Remarks

The management is effective and any complaint is looked into immediately. All are cooperative and help the girls efficiently.

Entrance Preview

It is the best college in the country and has a great reputation! They provide an amazing atmosphere for students to shape themselves and opportunities in both academic and extra curricular activities! There is a lot of inter-departmental interaction.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is interesting and easy to learn. It is very broad and all encompassing and keeps the student’s interest at the highest. The language and readings are easy and have a normal vocabulary level, not very tough. It is easy to understand and learn.

Internships Opportunities

No, they don’t provide specific internships but there are imternships offers from different companies to the internship cell which is then sent to the kids who signed up for the internship cell. Stipend and all differs but the experience is enriching.

Placement Experience

3.5

They are great especially for the B.com and economics students. For the psychology students companies do come but they mostly look for students interested in HR. If people want a job experience for a few years before they pursue their masters, there are good opportunities here.

College Events

4.5

Our college celebrates diwali with a diwali mela. And there are stalls set up by kids working in the NGO’s under NSS. This includes fooods clothes etc. Under NSO, we have the annual cross country marathon and the sports meet. Under NCC, we have the ncc fest with drills and march pasts. Apart from that the main 3 day college fest every student ever waits for- TARANG which has famous people coming in and competitions.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very feasible, its a government college and the fees is less than 20,000 for almost all courses per year. Students from all over the country come and join this college hence this is a very cosmopolitan crowd. Everybody finds a place here.

Fees and Financial Aid

No I don’t know about any but there is something about scholarships to kids who apply for it although you have to be from a certain criteria. You can find more on the college website.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life is amazing and so green, you have lots of places to sit and eat after college or in between lectures. We have a nescafe stall, mother dairy stall and a cafe. Lots of societies to join and take part in competitions. Both indian and western music plus instrumental society. Almost all sports including yoga and lots of literature competitions too.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel facilities are good except for the fact that there are no AC’s and you cannot bring in your own coolers although there is a common room with AC. The mess food is good. The people in the hostel enjoy each others company hence the bad facilities don’t matter that much.

Alumni/Alumna

All of the seniors are extremely helpful, and every fresher has a senior assigned to them from the same department to help the around. All are approachable.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is very nice and allows the students to pursue co-curricular activities well. 75 marks external paper and 25 marks internal, the external paper are the same for the entire DU the internal paper is set by the respective professors. There are 50 marks practical and 5 marks in the internals are for attendance.

Admission

You need to fill the DU common website after your boards end. Then you have to wait for your boards result. Thats when the process moves along. 2 weeks after the results the cut off’s list start coming out for different colleges. If your best of four including a language fits in the cutoff then you go to the institute with the documents required and admit yoursef.

Faculty

3

The faculty is good and they all are very dedicated. Of course the teaching methods are different for every teacher and it may take some getting used to but apart from that the readings are also very easy to understand and learn, atleast for the first year.

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
