Course Curriculum Overview

4

I wanted to choose this course only and this was my first preference in course as I wanted to go in civil service and coming from a Political science background it will really help me to achieve my aim The college prepare you well as it is good in terms of teaching but some times teacher may get absent and you have to wait for them in college and that's really frustrating The areas for improvement from my perspective is that there is a time gap between classes and that time gap should be less as it really frustrates the student who is coming to college and sometimes after waiting the class gets cancelled The timing of exams is 3 hrs and it is not that difficult if you have studied well .

Fees and Financial Aid

If I am talking about my fee structure of my course is 13,500 per year I think it is enough for every one...there are some platforms where government provides some great opportunities for the college students and college students grab the opportunity such as scholarships, internship fair, science fair etc. Related to Annual tuition fee. Tuition Fee means the basic tuition fee applicable to specific programmes and shall include auxiliary fees which are for required instruction but shall exclude any other fees such as international student differential fees, co-op fees, and student union fees.School scholarships are meant to offer financial support to students who are pursuing their studies at the school level. Every year, a large number of students drop out of school education in India due to financial constraints. To curb this problem of school drop-out, various organisations, institutions and government offer school scholarships. These scholarships turn out to be of great help for stu

Students from many colleges participate in various competitions. The entire college wears a festive look as students participate in fun filled activities including games, competitions, food stalls and shopping. The students are instrumental in arranging good sponsorships for the events. Eminent artists, performers and choreographers are involved as they train promising and interested students in choreography, dances and dramatization. All the cultural societies in the college be it Eleganza, Tarkaas, Poise, Navrang, Muzahira and Iridescence participate in the festival with full rigour and enthusiasm. FERIA is indeed a much-awaited event by the students and is marked by a variety of inter-college events such as choreography, debates, music, dance com

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
