Remarks

College is overall good. But yes management is a bit careless. Decision making takes longer time than ever. A little construction is needed, which is actually taking a lot of time. Otherwise, the institution is good enough for all.

Entrance Preview

The most important point for opting this college over GGSIPU was that it is under Delhi University. Also, I wanted to do English honors so DU stands best for Arts courses. Thus I opted for this one. And we can say to a middle-class student, its fee structure.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Soon after the course starts course material PDFs are shared through WhatsApp groups etc. And if not everything is available at DU's official site and many other sites on net has the access or juniors can asl their seniors regarding that. So nothing to worry about that.

Placement Experience

4

At the end of the final year, students get placed according to their grades and internships and experience during all these years. Job prospects are good according to bachelor courses. But I personally prefer further studying and then an option for a job or get placed.

College Events

3.5

During the course every year, there are multiple events celebrated. Many societies arrange for various events off and on. College yearly fest is arranged in January. Freshers are welcomed as they come in July. Farewell functions are done in February. And many other events are organized.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is around 12000-15000 per year for all courses. It's really really inexpensive as compared to other private colleges. All the college expenses are included in this only. Expect these, other expenses are borne by the student themselves.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is relaxation for special category student i.e their fee is a bit less than general students.

Campus Life

3.5

The campus is wide enough. We have a spacious canteen, sports area, and garden etc. Our college has a top ranking in sports and dramatics. Debating society is active in our colleges moreover we have a poetry club, E-cell which is very evident amongst all, Dance society and many more. Labs are good enough.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

We don't have a hostel facility. So students have to opt for pgs which are available in nearby areas. Monthly rent is around 5000 or so. Food can be availed by either pg itself or they can hire a cook for themselves. Tiffen centers are there too so they can get it from there also.

Alumni/Alumna

Of course, these networks are helpful. Contact must be built and made for future use. So these networks are really good.

Exam Structure

We have semester system here. So two semesters are there in a year. After 6 months we have exams in the month of December and may. In each of 100 marks, we have our class assignment(10), a class test(10), attendance(5) and this semester exam(75) included. Most of the courses have an allocation of marks like that only.

Admission

So it was in 2017, I got my name in 10th list. And then I had to go to college which is in shahadra, Delhi. Nearest metro station is welcome(red line). Then verification of the documents had to be done. Documents required were - 12th and 10th class marksheet (original and copy), -recent character certificate, -provisional certificate, -Transfer certificate of school/college -passport size photographs (self attested) (5) -SC/ST/PwD/CW/KM Certificate (in the name of the applicant) issued by the competent authority , - OBC (non-Creamy Layer) Certificate (in the name of the applicant) as in central list *Do keep 2-3 copy of every document to be at ease* Everything was verified by a staff member. It took around 45 min for the process to complete and after that fee has to be paid online.

Faculty

4

Teachers are really co-operative, we can either talk to them directly about the course and clear out our doubts or they do provide us with their contact numbers, so students can contact them too. But of course, decency has to be maintained by them too.

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
