Course Curriculum Overview
I had a huge interest in electrical engineering since childhood so I opted for this course in which we are taught all about the real life aspects. We have classes 5 days a week from 9-2 we have all the theory subjects and from 2 pm we have our labs mostly we get 6 theory subjects and 3 labs per semester to study. Our semester is of 4-5 months duration and we have the marking scheme as follows Midsem - 30, Endsem - 50, Minor - 10 and Sessional - 10 Where the minor is basically a class test conducted by the course coordinator of the subject and sessional marks is based on the attendance and assignment provided by the professor
Internships Opportunities
Many big companies including Microsoft, Amazon, Amazon web services, Flipkart, Deutsche Bank, Cisco, Wipro, Accenture, Atlassian, Goldman Sachs and many more comes for providing the internship opportunities and all provides an average stipend of 1 lakh/month for 2 momths duration
Placement Experience
From 7th semester the students are eligible for the on - campus placements. Many big MNC and many other companies visit our campus overall at the end of the season 600/650 students get almost placed Mostly the companies are from the IT sector and offer an average package of 12 lpa which is a decent amount.

Campus Life
There are two annual festivals in the college Incandescence - Cultural fest held in February Tecnoesis - Technical fest held in October We can access the library resources by issuing the book for the whole semester we can take 3 books per person. We have an HD projector with a digital podium which is very convenient for teaching and the classrooms are sloping rooms. There are a lot of sports opportunities basically you name it we have it. All the clubs and extracurricular activities are run by the students themselves no administration is involved so its becomes very convenient to contact if we are facing any issues
Hostel Facilities
For boys We are provided a room with 3 peoples till 3rd year and single room in 4th year and the room distribution is according to your cgpa if you get 8+ cgpa ypu will get a double room or else tripel room We are provided with four times food - Breakfast, Lunch, Evening Snacks and Dinner. The process of registration for hostel is done at the time of semester registration. If you opted for the no hostel option then there are nearby PG as well as rented room facilities at very affordable prices.
Admission
First you have to give jee mains which is conducted by NTA twice a year one at the beginning of January and one at beginning of april and score above 90+ percentile if you are general category if you are sc/st then 80+ percentile and for obc is similar like general is enough and then there will be josaa counseling where you have to fill up your choices of colleges and then if you get selected for NIT silchar you have to pay the seat acceptance fees and after that you will be called for physical verification and complete all formalities physically
