Course Curriculum Overview
I have opted for Electrical Engineering Degree as I am very passsionated in this field. The professors are very well experienced and educated who teaches us the real world application in this field. We have 8 semesters to study and each semester have the duration of 4-5 months in which we have to give several exams as follows 1. Mid-sem - 30 marks 2. End-sem - 50 marks 3. Minor - 10 marks 4. Sessional - 10 marks
Internships Opportunities
Several Companies visit our campus for providing internships oppurtunity for the role of software intern. Companies like Microsoft, Amazon, AWS, Flipakrt, Cisco, Wipro and many more big tech companies
Placement Experience
Placements are being provide yo us and we are allowed to sit for them from 7th semester. Many Big companies such as Microsoft, Amazon, AWS, Cisco, Wipro, Accenture, Atlassian, Goldman Sachs etc.. which provide a good package of average 24LPA for the role SDE-I. Last year 650/700 students were placed in good companies which is nearly 90% of the total students sat for the placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
For general tuition fees - 72500 For OBC and general (income below 5 lakh) tuition fees - 32500 For SC/ST and general (income below 1 lakh) tuition fees - 10500 For hostels 22500 Several scholarships are being provided by many organisations and NGOs which helped a lot of students to pursue their passion. Moreover Educational loan is also available as the SBI branch is located inside the campus
Campus Life
Annually NIT Silcahr conduct two big fests 1. Incandensce - Cultural Fest which is held in the month of February 2. Tecnoesis - Techincal Fest which is held in the month of October We have our Library from where we can issue books for the whole semester and return it afterwards. Moreover the classrooms are also well equipped with Projectors and Digital podium. Many sports such as Crickets, Football, Tennis, Badminton, and Indoor Games etc. And all the clubs and the societies are being runned by the student union body without the involvement of the administration which make it convinient for the students to improve the clubs whenever necessary.
Hostel Facilities
We are provided with 3 shared rooms. Moreover it also depends on the CGPA. If your CGPA is above 8 then we will be provide with 2 shared rooms and in 4th year you will have single room each ratherless your cgpa. Moreover the Quality of the meal is quiet decent and the menu is changed for every day which is repeatable. Registration for the hostels is done at the time of sem reegsitartion. However if you not wish to stay in hostels then there are PG and rented room service available nearby the campus and those are every affordable.
Admission
You have to give Jee mains Examination conducted by NTA eligible for the students who obtained 75%+ in 12th boards. Jee main is conducted twice a year one in mid january and the other in April. If you are from general and OBC category you have to score 90+ percentile and for 80+ percentile if you are from SC/ST.
