Course Curriculum Overview
I give 6 out of 10 to the course curriculum of Gaya College of Engineering. The curriculum is typical old and mainly theories and little practical because it follows the curriculum of AKU Patna which is old. But our college focus on giving practical knowledge and skills from their end by enrolling us in different industry relevant courses.
Internships Opportunities
There is no internship opportunities from college side, if we want to do internship we have to try off campus, most of our seniors got internships in their 3rd and 4th year. But there is good news for final year students because Bihar Government will give internship to the 4th year students with a stipend of 10000 per month.
Placement Experience
In our college they provide on campus placements but they are not so good because the overall placement percentage is 60 - 70 %. And the average package is 3 - 4 LPA. But you skillup yourself and try off campus you will get high package for sure. Our seniors are tried off campus and they got 15 - 18 LPA which is very good package. My plan is to skillup myself and I will try off campus.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee of Gaya College of Engineering is very less. The total fee of per year is 10030 rupees which breaks in three parts first one is admission, tuition and development fee is 2630 rupees only, and the remaining is semester exam fees which is 3700 rupees per semester exams, if you come from SC and ST category you have to pay only 700 rupees per semester exam only. There is scholarship facility like PMS Scholarship, NSP etc., and Bihar Student Credit Card facility which provides student education loan in only 4 % interest rate per year after completing course.
Campus Life
Campus Life is good, and our college is organising different extracurricular activities like an sports events and also inter college sports competition. And there is also we celebrating Annual Fest in which different types of performance are organised. In our college there are groups and clubs also but they are not much strong but our college is now focusing on clubs and in future they will establish various types of clubs
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is very good and every student can get hostel there are total 5 hostel in our college campus in which 4 boys hostel and 1 girls hostel. In hostel there are various facilities like sports, WiFi, Water cooler, generator, lifts, entertainment and many more. The mess of hostel is good they provide 3 meals per day and 1 time snacks in evening everyday with tea or coffee. The rent for hostel and mess combined is 30000 per semester which is 5000 per month if we break it in monthly.
Admission
To get admission in Gaya College of Engineering in B.Tech course you have to appear in JEE Main exam and then appear in BCECE UGEAC Counseling to get admission in this college. To get in this college you must have domicile of Bihar and there is different reservation quota like OBC, EWS, SC, ST and Girls reservation quota.
