Life at nit kkr

ECE(electronic and communication engineering) this course has the benefit that one who takes this course has two opportunities i.e govt field (core-electronics) and it sector. The curriculum consists of lectures where we understand the concepts, labs where we can perform them, and tutorials where we can clear our doubts. Three exams are held in a semester, mid1, mid2, and end sem with a gap of 1-1.5 months, the exams are of medium level and easy to pass. The faculty and courses are good but can be improved with the regularity of some professors.

various companies offer internship to students here like akaash institute, adani group, microsoft, amazon , Q3 technology, flipkart, AIS, ashok leyand, HCL, IBM, MAQ software, maruti suzuki , oracle newgen , samsung etc. other than the companies the insitute itself offer projects to students.

Nit kkr give various opportunity to students regarding placement and intership. students are eligible for incampus intership and placement from 6 th semester only.While nit kkr is famous for its placement the percentage of placed students and average package varry from branch to branch. while the placement rate is around 75-80% , the highest package is around 60lpa while average package is around 14-20 lpa. more than 700 offers were made during 2023 placement .

The tution fees of the college is taken semester wise and varies upon the reservation and income of the family. candiadates with family income greater than 5 lakhs income have to pay 80,000 per semeter( tution fees incudind hostel charges) while candidates with family income 1-5 lakh have to pay 40-50k per semester while candidates with family income les than 1 lakh have to pay 16k. other than tuition fees mess advance is taken per year 30000, and amount of the student bill(generated per month) is cut from it. There are various scholarship also available like the Merit-cum-Means scholarship, central sector scholarship scheme for SC students, alumini association scholarship.

The campus life here is good. the campus is of 300 acre which is full of greenery and all facility including swimming pool ,gym , library with more than 150000 books .varios fest are held over the year like the "confluence"- the cultural fest, "Techspardha"-the technical fest, "Utkarsh"-another cultural fest associated to hindi language and culture, "citius"- sports fest, "Shiksha angan"- fest organised for the unprivileged children nearby .The library is also a relaxing place where there is a lot of space and books which one can isssue whenever they want .there are 2 reading rooms and a huge studying hall.The sports facility is also very nice , it has all the facilty basket ground badtminton hall etc, all equipments, and coachs too. other than all these facilities there are various club and socities where student can have fun and strenghten their skills or learn something new.

hostels are alloted right after the pphysical verification process . boys in first year get tripple seater rooms while girls get single seater rooms in the firs year itself. boys are alloted h1, h2, h3 and h6. while girls get cauvery bhawan.after the first year boys also get single seater rooms. rooms are quite spacious and cleanliness is maintained properly. every hostel has its own mess and canteen The menu of the mess is changed frequently but the mess food is not so good.hostel room prices are genuine 7000 for single seaer and 5k for double seater and 4k for tripple seater per semester.while Mess advance is taken separetely per year 30000 and bill amount is cut from it.

One can get admission in NIT KKR by clearing National level enterance exam- JEE MAINS by a decent rank i.e20-30k (ece) for general and upto 50k for reserved castes. after qualifying candidates must have to apply for josaa couselling for seat allocation. candidates can get the information related on NTA website.Reserved caste and handicapped candidates have the benefit to clear the exam with less marks . OBC can get ece in nit kkr by 40k, sc/st can get by 50-60 k and handicapped can get upto 80-90k. the overall admission process is fine and can be improved if the physical verification process is managed well.
