Course Curriculum Overview

The course is really good. The variety of specializations provided by the college offers really good career opportunities. The faculties are good. The exams are conducted on a regular basis provides a good check of our ability.

Internships Opportunities

The internship is offered in the 3rd year. Various companies like Microsoft, Azure, etc. offer good internships. Companies even offer good PPO for qualified students. The internships help students to set them for the industry.

Placement Experience

The placements are really good. Various companies like Microsoft, Amazon and big MNCs come in the college. The average package is around 8 LPA and the highest package is around 50 LPA. Around 90% + students gets placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fee is around 20 Lakhs. You can get scholarship on the basis of the JEE Mains rank and also on the basis of the domicile certificate of Uttarakhand. The other costs include hostel fees which can vary.

Campus Life

The college includes various extracurricular activities. It also conducts various fests which include sports fests, cultural fests, etc. The library is really good. It includes a variety of good books. Sports are played regularly.

Admission

The admission process includes a paper conducted by the UPES and you can also get admission through the JEE Mains and Board Marks. You can also get a scholarship on the basis of your marks in the above-mentioned exams.

Interview Experience

I personally didn't go through any interview or any group discussion but there are written tests that are conducted by the UPES on the basis of which you can get scholarship. The admission is really smooth.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of its affordability and the teaching quality of this college is good . They helps in choosing the real life application based projects . Teaching methods are impressive but they don't provide notes . We have make notes by attending class regularly. Frequency and timings of exams are of 3 hrs. For each subject . Difficulty level is moderate and students can prepare it well in the gap days also .

IIT Roorkee is the best one can get on overall basis.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement starts in Semester 7 and 8 for can say, in the last of graduation. HUL,TCS, Microsoft,JP Morgan and many huge companies visit campus for placements. Highest pakage in placement goes around 1.5 crore annually to lowest pakage around 8 LPA. Companies mainly comes for SDE role. But apart that few comes for PM, Data Science, Consulting profiles as well.

aspects of curricullum that influenced my desicion to take admission: technical based courses are available. a well defined infrastructure. seperate buildings to involve in different regions of technology. available technical courses with updated and advanced syllabus with great faculty and seminars of different active clubs like google and microoft club. Responsive faculty and well managed curriculum to focus on specific areas of each students to make them better in the region of technolgy where they want to grow. mid level toughness with regular tests and end sem combining the internal and external practical exams.

I always loved coding and learning about new technologies. Also, jobs in CS/IT department are paid high. The faculty and student ratio is on the medium side. Faculties are highly qualified from IIT and top private colleges. They are very helpful and have a great pedagogy.

Best college of uttrakhand

Remarks:

A very good college. There is no spoon feeding scene like that of private institute. As good ranking students are there you can have a good academic competition which will nurture your ability and groom to you be a better engineer.

UPES CSE Program provide the best insights!

No safety nets for getting admission in UPES as university is strict in taking students. UPES Engineering Admission Test also known as UPESAT has to be cleared. I applied at GECET of Graphic Era and gave other entrances too. Apart from JEE, I cleared almost all and only one left was that. UPES has the best facilities!

Admission are through an entrance for engineering which is called UPESAT. The best thing is the paper can be given anytime as it's online and if students want they can directly come to the university and then give that exam.
