Course Curriculum Overview

The college is coming under Uttrakhand Technical University. So shivalik college of Engineering follow the curriculum of utu. According to utu shivalik college conducting two sessional and one external exam. The syllbaus of shivalik follow utu college.

College doesn't provided internships. The interships is totally dwpendent on students the few companies which are collbrating wit IIT rhat types of companies are coming. Overall companies re low like MNC and agro bombay. Overall internships are low.

The placement of shivalik vollege of engineering are good the y giving 90 percent placement. The companies visiting shivalik college of engineering are : Autodesk, Infosys, TCS, oogle and etc. At present the highest package goes to 36.5LPA. My plans after btech to become enterprenuer.

My overall experince is good and best with shivalil college management. Shivalik college conducts fresher party for fresher to know our college and induction program. Shivalik organising 2 fests per year. Shivalik organising clubs like Programming club, Chitra club, sports club and etc. Shivalik giving you the advantages of NCC and NSS for intrested student. Facilites and HOD are helpful and supportive.

Admission

I registerd online for enquiry in shivalik college of engineering then they approve my verification for enquiry then they directly sent to the counselling cell for enquiry they tell me about the college infrastructure. After Some days I decided to take the admisson in shivalik college of Engineering I book my seat by giving 10000 rupees.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of its affordability and the teaching quality of this college is good . They helps in choosing the real life application based projects . Teaching methods are impressive but they don't provide notes . We have make notes by attending class regularly. Frequency and timings of exams are of 3 hrs. For each subject . Difficulty level is moderate and students can prepare it well in the gap days also .

IIT Roorkee is the best one can get on overall basis.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement starts in Semester 7 and 8 for can say, in the last of graduation. HUL,TCS, Microsoft,JP Morgan and many huge companies visit campus for placements. Highest pakage in placement goes around 1.5 crore annually to lowest pakage around 8 LPA. Companies mainly comes for SDE role. But apart that few comes for PM, Data Science, Consulting profiles as well.

Responsive faculty and well managed curriculum to focus on specific areas of each students to make them better in the region of technolgy where they want to grow. mid level toughness with regular tests and end sem combining the internal and external practical exams.

I always loved coding and learning about new technologies. Also, jobs in CS/IT department are paid high. The faculty and student ratio is on the medium side. Faculties are highly qualified from IIT and top private colleges. They are very helpful and have a great pedagogy.

Remarks:

A very good college. There is no spoon feeding scene like that of private institute. As good ranking students are there you can have a good academic competition which will nurture your ability and groom to you be a better engineer.

I choose this college of others because i wanted to continue to study in a budget friendly and well reputable college of dehradun. No i didn't get any rejection cause i dont applied in any another college. SCE is best in Dehradun

Admission criteria are different as I took admission under SC category so it was 67% cut-off for me as otherwise it was 81%. One just have to come to the college and seal the deal by filling the admission form. We are informed on call, mail and WhatsApp if our name is there in the cut-off list.
