Remarks

College management is fair enough to support all the activities happening in the college.

Entrance Preview

I was very particular about the course and this was the only college which topped my list of colleges in which I qualified the cutoffs. So, I opted this college. Moreover, I was quite impressed with the infrastructure and the location of the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum was quite impressive in terms of the subject choices which were not provided by other colleges. There was the subject chosen from the discipline other than the mainstream. Even, environmental studies were also taught as a subject in one of the semesters.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, it provides internships as well as full-time jobs to students via the college placement cell which is run by the students only. Many reputed companies visit the campus such as E&Y, FIS, etc.

Placement Experience

3.5

Any student can apply for the placement & job opportunities that come their way provided good and dynamic personality with an impressive CV. As the students of the placement cell really work hard to get the well-reputed companies on campus along with attractive salary packages offered to the students. However, I felt most of the positions offered were meant mainly for BCom students.

College Events

3.5

Many events are celebrated in the college premises be it annual cultural fest, departmental fest, workshops, informative sessions and so on. Following is the list of all the events take place - 1)Annual academic departmental festival 2)Quizzes are held by college quiz society as well as quiz experts from outside such as Jaipuria Quiz League was held by Jaipuria Institute of Management. 3)Various workshops are held regarding future education prospects. 4)Various informative sessions are also arranged to increase the students' horizon. 5)Annual cultural college festival is most popular among the students as it's a 2-day affair including many events like street play competition, solo and group dance competition along with other events. 6)Then, there is an Annual sports day which is held every year along with an INTER-DEPARTMENTAL MARCH MUST COMPETITION which I really liked and I did participate. 7) Freshers and farewells are the most awaited events by the students. 8)Extracurricular events are held every now & then such as poster making competition, speech writing competition, photography competition, etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very feasible. It's in the range of 10,000- 15,000 annually. Anyone can very easily afford. Even, different kind of scholarships is also available in case if anyone needs. Cash prizes are awarded to the top position holders every year.

Fees and Financial Aid

It does provide various scholarships to the students who are in need or cash prizes are awarded to all the meritorious students. However, there is one such scholarship (departmental scholarship) of Rs. 25,000 which was awarded to the topper of the class and was introduced recently.

Campus Life

4

The campus is great in terms of infrastructure. The gardens are so beautifully maintained by the gardeners that it's a great sight in the morning to make you fresh from inside. Extracurricular activities are also held from time to time. There are 3 labs which I think is great. Regular classes are held.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Since the hostel facility is started from the year I passed out from there,i.e, this year only. Hence, I won't be able to comment on that. However, its construction started when I was in year 1 and completed by year 3. Its inauguration was done by Pranab Mukherjee.

Alumni/Alumna

I would say Yes. It's good to have a network with alumni for they can be good guide/ mentor to you for your future endeavors.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is bifurcated into two phases- one is an internal examination(15 marks) and the other one is an external examination(75 marks). All the lectures are done timely according to the timetable with the timely entry of the professors. Even extra lectures are also scheduled if any professor feels the need.

Admission

Admission to this college is basically a three-step process- Step 1: Firstly, the candidate is supposed to fill an online form for Delhi university and opting the courses & colleges of his/her choice. Step 2: Then, after around 20 days, cutoffs(around 10) are released by all the colleges for all the courses. Step 3: After qualifying for the course and college of choice, the candidate is supposed to go to that particular college within the specified time period for that particular cutoff and get himself/ herself enrolled there.

Faculty

4.5

I would say that the faculty of the college was highly qualified and friendly in nature. Most of them are Ph.D. holders and are working for so long with the institute. Each and every professor was ready to help the students as & when required. they worked as mentors, philosophers, guide and a good companion to each & every student.

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
