Likes
- First of all the buildings and the architecture of the college is so aesthetic and mesmerising. The campus is free from all kind of distrative noises. And there are many trees in the campus.
- The curriculum of the college is well designed and better than any other colleges in Pune and overall Maharashtra. The teaching staff and non teching staff is very helpful. The teaching method of the professors there is just outstanding.
- Each and every professor there is excellent in their respective subject. And most of them are alumni of the big institutions of India like IIT, IISER, JNU, DU, NIT, IUCAA, etc.
Dislikes
- There is no such thing to dislike the college
Course Curriculum Overview
The courses are well designed and the exams are conductes in 3 phases: CE1, CE2 and End semester examination. The CE1 is an offline unit test in the form of class test(it may be objective or subjective), assignments, project, etc. Then the CE2 is an online computer based test. And then the offline written end semester examinations.
Internships Opportunities
As for the respective subject's departments help their students for acquiring an intership in famous instituions lie IISER, ISRO, ACWADAM, and other well known instituions. For the bachelors degree the internship is not that much required.
Placement Experience
There's placement for the students of BCs, BSc Statistics, BSc Mathematics, and other departments. For some departments there is no such placements as that courses requiers masters degree. Talking about statistics, computer science there are plentiful placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees for grant section is less as compared to the non grant section. For grant section of BSc it is about 15k for other category students and 7k-8k for reserved category students. And there's is not much expedition on academics in the middle.
Campus Life
The college celebrated it's festival for 1 week. first day is tie day and saree day, 2nd and 3rd day is cultural day for the student's different performances. 4th day is the traditional day and the 5th and 6th day is given for Departmental fest. All the students come together and decorate their respective departments by choosing a theme related to their subject. Different kind of games, puzzles, activities are setup by the students like treasure hunt, riddles, Dumshras, etc. ANd talking about the campus life, the campus is free from all kind of distrations. One can fully enjoy their college life and their life's best days in Fergusson college. The campus never makes anyone feel bore.
Admission
For the bachelor's degree, there is no entrance exam as the admissions are on the merit basis of our 12th score. The process for the admission is so flexible. First of all we have to fill the application form, then after that the selected candidates list is released by the college on thier official website. Three lists are released. And after that we have to go to the college for the further admission process on the said date.
Faculty
The faculty itself is well experienced and s regular on lectures. If any problem occurs to a student then the faculty is very kind to help out any time and cooperates the students in their confusions and academic problems. Talking about the mentorship, mentorship sessions are there for the students wich gets started by a SWAT analysis.
