Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

1. The currriculm set is the same they have been teaching for years. Most of the students in my course aren't speciffically looking for placements but preparing for competative exams like UPSC. 2. The course to be honest does not provide us with any life skills, it's just book knowledge, and a student has to do masters to be qualified for better opportunities. 3. The currriculm also comes with 4 extra subjects, the core one is called DSE (Discipline Speficif Elective) consisting of 3 subjects. Then GE (Genral Elective), AEC (Ability Enhancement Course), SEC ( Skill Enhancement Course) & VAC ( Value Addition Course) Which has an abundance of different subject to choose from and are mandatory and should be selected & changed on the next semester but aren't relevant at all to the core subjects we are studying and makes it time consuming and not worthy to study. Therenis no point studying them and is mostly wasting student's time and money.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

As I've mentioned earlier, I've zero knowledge about the internship opportunities which is avialable in our college. But I know that we have a placement cell which helps the students in providing internships and that's all I know. But most of the time, students ends up joining the internship that they personally looked for though social media or internet as it's according to their interest and might pay them more than the ones provided by the college.

Placement Experience

2.5

I personally don't know much about how does the placement in my college works, but we do have a placement cell which helps students get placements and internships. That's all I know about the placements part in the college. But most of the students and my fellow classmates doesnt seem to care about the placement from the college part and are more focused on the government exams including myself. I plan on giving UPSC and CDS and if I get selected then well and good else I plan on giving banking sectors exams, railways and mass media. I'll be doing some part time job(s) after college to support myself and preparing for these exams side by side.

Fees and Financial Aid

1. I would like to say that the college fees is quite affordable considering other college/university options available at the time. 2. The college asks for around 24K-26k yearly which is roughly 74k-78k for the college duration, which is actually semester fees of some non-government colleges for the same course. Some DU college go as low as 16k yearly. 3. The college provides the student in need with scholarships and diffrent programes which is very helpful for students coming from low income family. 4. College also provides students with placements opportunity which is a great Initiative. The college even has a dedicated placement cell for the same and helps the students looking for internships and programmes.

Campus Life

4

1. The college campus is chill and fun for sure, it's as expected and obviously, SRK passed out through the same college including many big names. 2. The classrooms are fitted with ACs and Projectors. Drinking water availablity and nice small cafés to chill. 3. A playground where we hangout and play provided with a sports equipment room from.which we can issue stuff like, football, basketball etc. 4. Archery/shooting indoor range which is quite rare in DU colleges. 5. Fests seasons are regular with alot of fun and diffrent activities thrououth the month of February to April with diffrent big performers and singers sharing the same stage with the students. 6. Diffrent clubs/societies to choose from and join according to one's interests. An individual can join as many societies as possible a through auditions.

Admission

1. Eligibility of the courses depended on the stream u chose in your +2. My batch personally gave the first CUET exam for the college. 2. Choosing a variation/combination of subjects gives you the specific sets of courses that you are eligible for and can apply for the same. 3. If you have any quota then it's obviously beneficial for you. I had defence quota and it for surely helped me also along with several other students. 4. After the entrance exam, you can just wait till you name arrives in any list of several rounds and if your lucky and spot your name in there, you can just pay the addmission fees and join the college according to the date given by the college, no GD, no interviews, you can just walk in and join the classes regularly after.

Faculty

3

1. The faculty to student ration I would say is as it should be, the teachers are qualified, but we do find some of them hard tonunderstand at some times. 2. The classrooms are equipped with projectors for students obviously so we can learn more effectively and easily but, i have completed four semesters and never saw projectors being used for teaching purpose. 3. Every student is also provided with a mentor which is nice and you can always approach them for help or any queries. 4. I personally feel like they should make an seprate app for students where we can find each and every teachers contact information sonit would be easier to connect and locate them in the campus if we are I some sort of need. 5. The intractions between the student and the teachers is very friendly and teachers are avilable upon request and would not mind helping the students at any situation which is a plus point for the students in need.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
