Upes life

My course is Btech in Computer Science and in UPES, they provide a very well centralized course for the same. The course curriculum provides a very good step in growing in coding. The course curriculum prepares really well for the world and its connectivity with actual is really well maintained and course also provides insight for the future methods in the course. Teaching methods could be improved in areas such as time allocation and importance for a few topics or for a few subjects.

I have not entered into any intership to date so I don't have much information for the same. There are many companies that offer internships in college for students and they provide a good amount of the internships also.

Placement is good but for the last 2 years, there has been a lot of difficulty in grabbing good packages for the students because of the lack of companies coming to the college. The percentage of students getting placed is good but the average package they are getting is a bit of a tension for the upcoming batches. But for the same college has brought up new companies for the betterment of the student's career. Companies like Microsoft, Wipro, AWS, etc. come visit the college. Highest ever in campus packege is 50 lakhs.

Tution fees in the college in on the higher side and an increase in fees also takes place every which is leading to an increase of overall fees from 25 lakhs to 27 or 28 lakhs approx. Which shouldn't take place. The complete course fees are between 25 to 27 lakhs approx. including hostels for 4 years.

There are many fest that take place such as urja for sports and rocktember for DJ nights, and also garba festival, and also many popular artists also perform as as last year Darshan Raval performed. This fest basically take place around September month and goes on from there. The library is very big with all the required documents just the time for the library is till 6 pm which needs to be changed. There are many sports available in the college like basketball, volleyball, badminton, cricket, chess and many more There are many social groups that students run such as groups for literacy, sports, and many more.

Admission to this college is not that tough because there entrance exam is easy and can be cleared easily without any problem. Also without an exam, you can be admitted to the college but then you will not get any concession on fees based on the entrance exam result. Eligibility for the course is 12 passes with above 50% in boards. Application forms can be found on their official website and it's easy to fill. Application fees are nominal.

Faculties are mostly well educated and also from a very good background. Faculties mostly provide all the required documents for course completion to students well before exams except for some of them. Teachers' interaction with students is very good mostly and they are kind to students and also listen to them but some teachers are not that good with interaction with students and that often leads to disputes between students and teachers' thoughts. Faculties are mostly teaching in English which is really helpful for all the students from any background but also when asked to teach in the local language that was also provided by the teachers. Exam sheet checking by the teachers is very lenient without thinking of the student's background. Faculties also take part in competitions such as in sports and cultural events.
