Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The whole course was nice and very much related to the course but i feel like some of the subject and their syllabus were bit too out dated and really need a upgradation and need some theories which is more relatable to right now, otherwise the whole couse was wholesome, every day learning some interesting. The best part is though the career seminar named as shivalik (department of geography) they used to give very informative and updated career option in my field and they were handled by both our teachers and the student council

Internships Opportunities

2.5

The internship in my college were not organised by the college itself rather with the help of the college societies and sometimes in the department itself, as i was never part of the college intership scenario so I can't really provide much information on that in terms of opportunities and salary structure.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees at beginning was fine at the beginning of the couse but it did got a rise suddenly without announcing whiich was a bit concerned, but for the people coming from low income families, they did gave the money back later on as fee concession which was a good help for people who need and they alll provide scholarship too, overall people who are good at studies and don't have enough money to spend they will give good assistance and rewards as in scholarship and others.

Campus Life

4.5

There are so many societies to chose from and some of them are just so wholesome, i was part of CFPI(centre for promotionof inclusivity) now part of inclusive cell with northeast cell in it and they are still like my family. Other than that there are more of these kind of beautiful people and society one can join in and there are so many competitions to get in even during the fest which is just fine.

Admission

As i was 2020 batch there was no entrance exams, it was based on 12th marks cutoff which was decent. And in that coming from a category in terms of caste, the cutoff was decent and i did used my caste for the admission procedure.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty was nice, all of them were really helpful, always took care of us and very kind fun too sometimes, when it comes to file making our files which they are gonna barely check but will check thoroughly if go for like small correction with hundreds of correction which was mentioned by them only then asks us remove it, which i feel every teacher do to their students at this point....but mine were like this too much every year making our last sems difficult for us.

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
