Course Curriculum Overview
the circiculum include international relations, politics theory, greek as well Indian philosopher, modern history, ancient philosophy stc. as core subjects And as dse and ge we had your law your rights, sociology history, EVs , english etc.you can choose your ge in which you will get a minor degree on completion of second year and dse is also your own choice. the exams were pretty easy the time given is 3 hrs for 4 questions each of around 18 marks and you are expected to write atleast 5 pages which is 10 sides but the quality matters over content so everyone if you write less than 5 pages just focus on key points and make headers always.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is around 15000 yearly fees with examination fees which varies for different courses mine was about 750rs. There were benefits for sc/st and OBC and other underprivileged groups as well as sports, and dance quotas as well.
Campus Life
It was a great college experience for me personally I was part of our college dance society zeal for a while which was a great experience I got to socialize learn and have the best time. After that I was a part of the student council for a short while which was fun too. Our college organizes the best fests diwali mela, Garba nights, DJs as well as so many other cultural events. Our annual fest is called Rhapsody which has a footfall of around 5-6k people. We get artists like Arjun Kunango, Darshan Raval, etc. I'd say our college provides great exposure to the Students.
Admission
the admission process was very smooth. I applied to Maitreyi because it was a girl's college and also because it was in south Delhi which is near to my house. I originally gave clat and ailet exam which I wasn't able to clear so maitreyi was my backup plan. The eligibility is now the scores in the cuet exam and the cut-off is different but generally around 90%. I did not apply to are an got in as well like Deen Dayal College as well as bharati college and a few others but I wanted to join Maitreyi.
Faculty
The faculty was honestly pretty great they were very interactive and open with us. They were super supportive, and the student-teacher ratio was good we had around 190 students divided into 2 sections one was for Hindu medium and the other for English. So the management was pretty good. The exams are conducted semester-wise so a total of 6 exams throughout for a 3-year degree, other than that we have assignments and projects on the basis of which we are graded and we have ge & dse subjects that you get to choose yourself. The curriculum I would say is pretty decent but at times does get repetitive.
