Likes

The location ofcourse is a good thing here, you are surrounded by mountains and nature and it gives you peace
The studying pattern there's no such pressure and the faculty is supportive helping and amazing
The infrastructure is very well built and even the fests are really amazing

Dislikes

People here but that's not the fault of University
They are strict towards things which shouldn't be a big issue
Sometimes they don't answer to your queries and don't reply to your mails

Course Curriculum Overview

Well, the course is designed in a very well mannered way. We have subjects that will help us in the future for what particular course we have applied. In btech cse, we have wide variety of courses that helps in the placement and not to forget about the minor degree they give of whichever subject you want to choose that totally depends on your intrest

Class Size: 63Course Fees: INR 600000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

My first semester fees was 2,17,500 after getting scholarship on the basis of 12th marks. Then second semester fees was 2,30,000 with scholarship. The yearly fees wraps up around 500000. Then comes the third year and the scholarship is only calis for first year then on the basis of cgpa the scholarship is given but tbh they don't prefer giving scholarship in second year so the 3td semester fees turns out to be 2,75,000.

Campus Life

Campus Life is amazing, the campus is breath taking and even places near the campus are amazing a whole new experience awaits here in UPES and its one of the best decisions I've taken. The infrastructure is also amazing and beautiful

Admission

Well, after giving my JEE and unfortunately I couldn't pass the cut off but yeah after that my first choice was UPES, after I attended their seminar and I knew I have to be in this college and I didn't apply for any other colleges but opted for upes

Faculty

Well, talking about the faculty that's really amazing teachers are supportive and helping and also guides you and helps you in whatever you need. talking about the course structure it's very well designed and they are improving more and more and subjects are those that makes sense to me. To be a part of exams you have to have 75% attendance they are strict towards it and marking scheme depends on the faculty but yeah everything is nice and good there's no such pressure on you. You can do things at your own pace

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of its affordability and the teaching quality of this college is good . They helps in choosing the real life application based projects . Teaching methods are impressive but they don't provide notes . We have make notes by attending class regularly. Frequency and timings of exams are of 3 hrs. For each subject . Difficulty level is moderate and students can prepare it well in the gap days also .

IIT Roorkee is the best one can get on overall basis.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement starts in Semester 7 and 8 for can say, in the last of graduation. HUL,TCS, Microsoft,JP Morgan and many huge companies visit campus for placements. Highest pakage in placement goes around 1.5 crore annually to lowest pakage around 8 LPA. Companies mainly comes for SDE role. But apart that few comes for PM, Data Science, Consulting profiles as well.

From the 7th semester you can sit on the placement drives.. Multiple companies visited like accenture,adobe,tcs etc. The percentage is little bit low this year..i have not much knowledge about it right now. I will try to get a good job.

aspects of curricullum that influenced my desicion to take admission: technical based courses are available. a well defined infrastructure. seperate buildings to involve in different regions of technology. available technical courses with updated and advanced syllabus with great faculty and seminars of different active clubs like google and microoft club. Responsive faculty and well managed curriculum to focus on specific areas of each students to make them better in the region of technolgy where they want to grow. mid level toughness with regular tests and end sem combining the internal and external practical exams.

I always loved coding and learning about new technologies. Also, jobs in CS/IT department are paid high. The faculty and student ratio is on the medium side. Faculties are highly qualified from IIT and top private colleges. They are very helpful and have a great pedagogy.

Best college of uttrakhand

Remarks:

A very good college. There is no spoon feeding scene like that of private institute. As good ranking students are there you can have a good academic competition which will nurture your ability and groom to you be a better engineer.

UPES CSE Program provide the best insights!

No safety nets for getting admission in UPES as university is strict in taking students. UPES Engineering Admission Test also known as UPESAT has to be cleared. If not then in top 20k JEE ranks your name has to be there regardless. So those are the only ways to get admission especially in CSE at the UPES University....Read More

UPES is top class!

I applied at GECET of Graphic Era and gave other entrances too. Apart from JEE, I cleared almost all and only one left was that. So, UPESAT I was among the top 500 and therefore I got the branch of my choice too. UPES has the best facilities!

Assessment test is there but that's not the only way of getting here. There are other ways too and students can go that way like on 12th score or sports quota because there are over 1000 new admission done every year. UPES was the lone place I tried and I got admission too....Read More

UPES has best sports access!

Admission are through an entrance for engineering which is called UPESAT. The best thing is the paper can be given anytime as it's online and if students want they can directly come to the university and then give that exam.
