Course Curriculum Overview
Everthing is good in shivalik college of engineering but in this college if you opt for btech then its far better for you to do but all branches are good in this college and the key point is am also student in 3rd year B.Tech CSE
Internships Opportunities
There are many companies that offer internships from college and outside the college. If the student is eligible then for sure he/she can get placed in the company . The company offer internship with or without stipend.
Placement Experience
From 5 semester students are eligible for placement and there are many companies that visit for placement in college in 6th semester the highest package is 40 lakh and avg is 4-5 lakh i want placement from here .
Fees and Financial Aid
The yearly fees is around 2 lakh per annum including hostel. But if someone opt for only academic and he/she can come from bus as well as their own convenience and i.e 125000 approx. If you are domicile from Uttarakhand then you will be getting some scholarship privileges. And if you are from other states then it is same as others but if in your domicile state there is facility of loan then you can take loan or scholarship from your government.
Campus Life
Annualy there is fest SHIVA FEST AND techinal festival is SHIVA TECH and for freshers there is fresher party. The library is very good. My overall experience in this college is very good from sports to study to clubs and environment
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facilities and specially the wardens are very good. There is 2 hostel for boys CV RAMAN HOUSE and NEWTON HOUSE and one for girls KALPANA CHAWLA HOUSE. The hostel team organise every year JAGRAN, NEW YEAR PARTY, SARASWATI PUJA, HOLI and many more. The mess food and menu is also good and if someone want to change the menu he/she can suggest in mess committee meeting.
Admission
I was confused to get admission i was selected in govt colleges too but before that i came to dehradun and i took admission and i did late but i dont regret because am getting the degree from government university i.e UTTRAKHAND TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY
Faculty
The faculty to students ratio is medium i guess 1:20. But to be honest the faculty is very supportive and friendly but if one did wrong there is punishment for them but if you are right you are good they will help you. And secondly there are 2 end sems in one year and in one semester 2 internal exams are there and 4 class test. If you study hard nothing is wrong but if one will not study you will fail.
