Tier 3 college but good enviornment

I am currently pursuing b.tech from civil engineering.the beu curriculum strictly follows the steps important for a civil engineer. The syllabus is accurately relevant to the course. There are labs for each sector of civil engineering and there is also practical works included in the course. We have exams around every 6 month. The exams are moderate to easy level and preparation require a month or so.

Students become eligible for placement in 7th semester. The colege placements has increased in recent years with better companies visiting. Company visiting are prism cement, tcs, wipro and many sales vompany Around 10 companies visit during placements Lowest package is 3.6 lpa and highest package is 6.5 lpa Around 90% of cse students are placed, 30% mechanical and ee students. Civil students dont opt for placements. I am currently preparing for civil services exams. Plan to get a govenment job.

Rs 2600/ yr for admission fee. It is the cheapest university that offers b.tech course. No scholarship If you want to take hostel, then additional charges may apply Exam registration fee for each semester is ? 3700 - general &obc ? 700 - sc/st Fees is almost same for all branches.

The campus life is good however have not many facilities The college helds an annual function once in every 2 year or so. No technical events and lack of sports facilities hinder any sports event. The college has a very small library with no air conditioner and it is very warm during day to concentrate on studies. The college clubs are as good as dead. Being the coordinator of art club of the college, i can tell we cannot hold any events because we get no funds and teachers have no interest in working either. Overall the campus life is not that good.

The college hostels are newly built with great facilities. Tables, almirah, bed with well lit and ventilated rooms are provided to the students. Wifi and ethernet ports are also provided for students. Good sanitation and exposure. The hostel rooms are alloted by the college with fee 30000 per semester with food included (3 times) per day.

After not getting into nit or iit, I applied for beu. The top 3 colleges include Mit Muzaffarpur, bhagalpur college of engineering and gce gaya, I was expecting to get admission in either of these 3 colleges. I got gce in my first counselling. So there was no problem for me taking admission. Once you get the college, document verification is done by the college before giving admission. Most preferred course are cse and civil with cutoffs anove 80 Cse - 87 percentile and above Civil - 80 percentile and above Mechanical- 60 percentile and above Eee - 50 percentile and above

Faculty ratio 1:20 . Most of the faculties are very helpful in behaviour however are not very qualified. Rkt sir is my favourite faculty. He is the h.o.d of our department and a very down to earth person. Smriti mam is the faculty who is disliked by a lot of my batchmates because of her ungrateful behaviour. There are total 8 semester exams during the course of 4 years. The questions are moderate which can be easily cleared. 1 or 2 students merely fail to clear the exams. The course consists of 8 semesters followed by beu curriculum with each paper of 70 marks theory and 30 marks practical and internal assesment. A student reqires 25 marks in the theory paper to clear the paper.
