Likes
- There is many chances to participate in various societies or groups. Also have different extra curriculam activities like NCC , etc
- There is a huge reading space for students. Also it opens in all days. It open at early morning and only close at late night. So it's very useful.
- There is a good library which includes a plenty of books. Also University give wifi facility and microsoft access
Dislikes
- Some department officials are very strict. So it may makes problems for newly admitted students.
- Some time the classes are not taken and it only announce before minutes of that hour. It make problems for some students.
- Some department's infrastructure is not modern and also maintenance is do not going properly.
Course Curriculum Overview
The BA program in Jamia Milia Islamiya helps the students to get a detailed view on different disciplines. Also there has many students are in my course are preparing for upsc civil service, so this course is very helpful for them. After completing the course the student get many career opportunities. Also this course not make a big academic load.
Internships Opportunities
There are different internship opportunities are in university. Many companies are directly offering internship opportunities to students. Also many opportunities are waiting outside the University ( because Delhi have many companies). If our CV is good and if we participate in our interview seriously, we surely get internship with a good stipend.
Fees and Financial Aid
First of all, the year wise fees for my course is 7675. There is some differences in other course. This fees include all fees like admission, tution, library, etc... I think the University didn't give any scholarships for students. But various scholarships are approved by University. So students can apply for various scholarships in their academic period.
Campus Life
There is many opportunities for extra curricular activities in campus. There are different clubs and societies in campus. Some of these are officially recognised and some of them are not. There are also various association are working in campus. I already point out that there were huge number of books is included in library. Also it includes various journals, magazines , weekly and newspapers ( includes different language). There is also a good sports complex in university. It includes many indoor and outdoor sports and games. There is many competitions are conduct in campus.
Admission
First of all, I also got admission in Aligarh Muslim University, but the reason for taking admission in Jamia Milia Islamiya is ultimately my course, secondly Jamia Milia Islamiya is situated in Delhi. So, Delhi ca give a good exposure to us. The admission process for my course is very simple. There is a entrance exam which conducted by Jamia Milia Islamiya and it is very easy. Usually ,If we get 50 marks out of 100 , we got admission for my course.
Faculty
The faculties in our course are very excellent. I think other department have also best faculty. One of the reason for Jamia Milia Islamiya including in the list of best universities in India is the faculties. Many professers are very helpful and many of them have doctorates in their respective subject. They are very supportive. There are semester exams and also internal exam. Also have seminar presentation and assignment. But it all are very simple and almost ninety percentage of students will clear it.
