Course Curriculum Overview
The college conducts alumni meets to provide a guidance path to upcoming engineers. The curriculum is well designed so that the student is not restricted to only his/her chosen branch. Curriculum makes sure that students have skills to sit in the placements of other branches as well.
Internships Opportunities
The college starts offering internships from second year itself mainly during the fourth semester during the summer break There are internship opportunities for winter break as well. Many companies provide paid internships. GAIL and all come to the campus
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus placements from 3rd year itself. Many companies have visited such as Google, Mitsubishi, Panasonic, Amazon, Samsung etc. There were great companies for tech as well as core job sector

Campus Life
The social life of campus is very good. There are many clubs to explore such as the Machine Learning club, Robotics club, Dance club, Drama club, Music club, Literary club, GDSC, Coding club and what not There is sports complex and sports clubs as well such as cricket club and badminton club Events are always there round the year We have our techfest and then the cultural fest All festivals are celebrated here with full enthusiasm. That is why I liked the campus social life so much. Infrastructure is good like we have cricket and football grounds We have a good court There are lakes and lush greenery everywhere
Hostel Facilities
Hostel rooms are okay but they have been quite old. They need renovation. We get a single bed, a table, a chair and an almirah per hosteller. There are common washrooms for all which are not so clean but that's usable Mess meals are just edible they are not so good Quality degrades sometimes but upon complaining they restore it Registration process for hostel is very simple. Just after college admission you need to go to the hostel supervisor or warden show them the payment slip of 22500 and then done you got your room????
Admission
I got confirmed admission form NIT Rourkela and IIIT Bhubaneswar. I chose this college because I liked it's recognition and NIRF ranking very much plus I was getting my desired branch here The eligibility for admission into NIT Silchar is JEE conducted by NTA
Faculty
There are 170 students in Electrical Engineering branch and there are 33 faculties The professors are very much friendly and approachable. They literally feel the students and take decisions in their favour There are 2 exams per semester one is mid-semester of 30 marks and other is End semester of 50 marks. Rest 20 marks is internal marks of which 10 marks is given for a minor class test Rest 10 marks are based on assignment submission and attendance.
