Course Curriculum Overview
The teachers should be friendly with the students and also discuss the problems faced by the students in understanding their lecture. It will make the class interactive and fun. Apart from that the campus life is pretty enjoyable.
Placement Experience
The placements in the campus is producing amazing results every year. The Branches like CSE, ECE have 95%+ placement ratio. While core branches have 90%+ placement ratio in the campus. The students become eligible for placements in the 7th sem.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fees for 1 year that I have paid is 62500 rupees. Being from SC category I get benifits of tuition fee waiver of 60000 rupees . So my friends from other category need to pay 122500 per year.
Campus Life
The campus life of NIT Silchar is what makes it stand out from other colleges. With amazing greenery and the scenic beauty of tea gardens and lakes, it is the best place for people who want to spend quality time in nature. Apart from that there are 30+ clubs and societies which is amazing and provides enough exploration for freshers. The fests in the college are Technosis at October, Incandescence at Feb and festivals like Diwali, Poushya and Bihu.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are quite good. They provide LAN facilities in every room. Menu is decent with a wide range of variety in food throughout the week. Also hotels are available near the College for far people to stay in.
Admission
I Got addmission in NIT silchar through clearing my JEE mains exam. The other colleges I applied were namely IIST, NIT Rourkela, Trichy, Agartala, meghalaya. I chose NIT Silchar over others as it had good placement for the branch I was getting in it.
Faculty
Faculties are pretty good. I liked Prof. Chandrajit Choudhury the most because of his interaction with the students is amazing. The marking scheme in the college is mid-sem(30)+End sem(50)+minor test(10)+class interaction(10).
