- The college has very bad infrastructure facilities.
- The college needs a bigger ground for sports purposes and need more equipment for sports
- The college urgently requires a placement cell that is active
Course Curriculum Overview
History Hons at Dcac is taught by well qualified professors and hence is appropriate for further research preparation for History. But the course can be improved via incorporating more interactive sessions. Internal Exams are usually for an hour and theyre not hard
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fees was increased from approx 11000 to approx 12000 from 2023 to 2024 and this comprises of all the charges like lab fees, development fees,etc. The fees is still one of the lowest among DU. I am not aware of any scholarship in Dcac
Campus Life
The college annual festival is Panghat usually held in March / April. Wide range of books and journals are not available in the library. The smart board in the classrooms usually do not work. Sports facilities offered are very bad. Various student run clubs and societies exist and they provide essential skills to students along with a fun college experience
Admission
I applied to all colleges under Delhi University which offered History and Dcac was my preference No6 which i got into, I did not make the cut off of my Top 5 colleges. The admission process of Dcac, like any other college under Delhi University, is through CUET. Every college and course have specific cut off mark, which you need to pass to get admission
Faculty
The faculty in DCAC are top-tier. I believe most of them are well qualified in their subjects and holds masters or PHD from renowned universities like JNU. The faculty is also very approachable, catering to every need of the students. Being a student of History, the History professors are all well qualified and they provide informative lectures. Along with the official DU exam, quite a few internals are conducted which are of moderate level of difficulty
