Likes

Atmosphere is good, classes are in good condition.
Infrastructure is good, campus is not bad.
Educated teachers are a big asset and also very supportive

Dislikes

Campus is small and blocks are nearby without spacing.
Girls toilet are in bad condition with no safety
Area is small and inadequate to explore.

Course Curriculum Overview

My family is involved in medical field. So for making a change i have choosen B. Tech Mechanical Engineering, the Father of all other branches.Nowdays timings for university exams are regular and result publishment are also regular.

Class Size: 68Course Fees: INR 8000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure is increasing with PTA fees and other fees. I am not involved in any categories like ST/SC.I got admission by merit scheme.Registration fees is about 15000,Batchmates fees is about 5000.

Campus Life

Lakshya is one of our main technical festival, whivh involbes pro shows, autoexpo, workshops etc. Arts festival were also celebrated with great enjoyment. Sports were also presented at regular intervals of time.

Admission

Mainly it is situated in Kozhikode, which i have to explore the people, cultres, foodetc. Its a new beginning to my life with new openings. I like to travel. My native is Kottayam so its a big joureny for me.

Faculty

Dr. Anirudhan Sir is one of the most knowledged faculty i have known. Another faculty is our HOD Dr. Pradeep Kamath Sir, he is very empathetic and brilliant. Next faculty is Dr. Jaseela, she is one of the bravery women i have seen before, she had a great potential.

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
