- all the classes are air conditioned which makes it easy to survive in summers
- the ground of hansraj college is well maintained
- there is a huge pool of students so its easy to make connections
Dislikes
- During the election time the candidates randomly crashes into a class to speak about them and their vision for college
- the campus size is too small for the amount of people that it holds
- Usually its difficult to get a permission to organize an event in the sports ground
Course Curriculum Overview
the curriculum here is same as other colleges what I don't like is the bogus courses such as EVS which are compulsory in B.A prog students and also others SEC and VAC courses although they are useful but then the compulsory attendence should be removed from these subjects usually the teachers use black board in classes and sometimes they use projectors the exam time is somewhere in december and june.
Placement Experience
there is a scope of placement in Hansraj college. I am currently working in the placement cell of hansraj college and the average LPA of our college is 7-8 LPA which is decent most of the placements are for economics and commerce students the highest package from our college was 23 LPA so although there is a possibilty of placement and if not then the alumni network of hansraj helps and all the connections you made in the college helps to get a job.
Fees and Financial Aid
the total college fees, is 27000 approx in which there is 180 rs of tution fees and 5 rs of admission fees is included also hansraj college provides merit cum need scholarship and fees concession college itself releases the form in which students have to upload their marksheets , college ID cards , income certificate and a photo after filling this form and giving an interview the list of student is released and scholarship is provided
Campus Life
The overall college life is average I would say because there are so many people so its hard to find friends but overall the societies are active and the sports teams are also very active they play tournaments every now and then , the infastructure of Hansraj is also average there are other college with better infrastructure than Hanraj but then you have to compromise with the brand value of college .
Admission
I've applied to many other colleges but the Delhi university was my priority because in renowed and the brand value it holds the admission process is simple we just have to give an enterance exam CUET UG then the university of delhi releases the forms for councelling and based on the score the colleges are alloted hansraj is one of the top colleges in delhi university so thats why I choosed this
Faculty
The faculties of economics and commerce is nice , they are well educated and experinced there are sem end exams although there is no mid sem exams but there are internal examination which is of 70 marks and the rest is end sem exam which is of 90 marks . Exams are usually moderate to difficult level.
Night Life
The college usually opens till 7 in the evening the ground closes around 5-5:30 so there is no such nightlife only hostels are open other than that the college closes and no one is allowed to walk in apart form this the college looks beautiful becuase of all the lights so that's what I like about it
