4 wonderful years in MSIT

If you have talent and aspire to be an engineer for next generation this is the right place. MSIT offers full support in innovation challenges. The negative part is there's no free space to hangout with your peers or play games.

Our college is Affiliated to Maulana abul kalam azad University of technology (MAKAUT), formerly WBUT. The subjects offered are ample be it any discipline or option curriculum subjects. A year is divided into 2 semesters of approx 6 months each and at the end the university conducts final semester exams. Our college conducts two internal exams whose marks are added to final marks. The marking system followed is grade system.

As our college is a part of Techno India group many companies comes for placement drives. But very few are taken. But overall more than 60% of the final year batch gets placed every year. No such internships are provided though.

At the starting of the academic year Footprints (for fresher's) is organised. Then intra college techfest, Tech-x-tra then comes Innovation challenge, Paridhi, (the inter college techfest), MCL and MSL(cricket and football tournament), Advaya( cultural fest) is celebrated. Overall a busy extra curriculum year goes on.

Fees structure is feasible for a middle class background students. Its around 4 lakh rupees overall for a 4 year degree. And during the 8 semester exams we need to pay the examination fees in addition.

The university offers scholarship programs for meritorious and economically weaker students. The amount of scholarship varies from Full tution fee waiver to Half waiver. The state government too offers different schemes. Our college personally doesn't provide loans but assists in getting a loan.

Few labs are well maintained with state of the art facility and few labs are on renovation. There is no ground or open space of playing outdoor games. Our college provied just carrom and table tennis facility.

No i didn't opt for hostel. But there's a hostel just beside our college. I would rate the hostel 3 out of 5. The food isn't that great just like other hostel. There are other options like paying guest(pg), flat on rent too.

There is a alumni group named MESON. The alumnus are well connected and offers help in placement, advices when required in different matters. They are very helpful. We can interact with them face to face in alumni meet and greet programs.

Our college offers B.tech , bca, mca, bba, mba, and m.tech. The faculties are very skilled and knowledgeable. Not only they assist or guide students in academics but also for different projects in national and international level.
