Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum is solely based on real world problems and interview oriented modules Overall the curriculum is great but I think maths faculty might need some improvement There are 3 type of exams :- semester exams (2), contest (4-5) and mock interviews (2) in a sem Snw is relatively easy but maths feel hard to many and psp is somewhere in middle which is not that hard but not that easy

Internships Opportunities

4

Google summer of code is the biggest company I am aware of with a stipend of 3.5 lakhs The faculty always help to prepare for internships and always let us know if there is anything new available for us we are currently building YouTube and other giants clones along with few working on training ai and building something from it With some project with gov of india

Fees and Financial Aid

Total fees per year is rs2,76,250 (351250rs for 1st year) including hostel and mess fees of 90k per year but since it is a fully residential campus the hostel is compulsory Some of the students get the scholarship based on there early admission and merit based system of even 90-100%

Campus Life

4

There are two fest the cultural fest damru(November end)and the tech fest neutron(Feb) The library is quite good and even if there are book which we want to read and not available they could get you that book within a week of applying All the classrooms are equipped with projectors and smart boards and ac along with great furniture even if someone is sitting in the back they could easily understand what happening in the class Teams have gone to other colleges to play many games they have seperate instructor for many games along with a compulsory course in which students need to play a sports or learn a skill every Tue and Friday for an hour

Hostel Facilities

5

The facilities are quite good with furnished furnitures , comfortable bed and clean washrooms with jets and showers the downside I feel is for 2 months the wifi is not working in the hostel now it is working fine but yeah that was one of the biggest downside Meal quality is good and the variety of food the mess is making is like way better than any other mess of other colleges

Admission

So I tried scaler school of technology first as it was my priority but after trying 3 times I was not able to clear the pi round and then I got the admission letter from Newton school The admission process is simple with a online exam that ask advance maths , basic maths, English , logic and reasoning and then there is interview round for the selected candidates and tech round for some and then a gd round

Faculty

5

Faculty to student ratio is decent , the faculty is very approachable and help us all the time whenever we need help also we have mentors per class so if we have any problem we can directly contact them , Gladden sir, animay sir , Kunal sir , arunodaya sir, Vishal sir, they all are very supportive and helpful also they are every skilled on there own and we can we speak to them like they are our big brothers , the teaching style is pretty good and more focus on practical learning along with theory . python and snw exam happens online on the portal so that it isn't like writing code on pen and paper except maths , curriculum is very extensive and detailed though in maths it feels little hard We have contest every Friday which have weightage of 15% then 1 midsem of 15% weightage and endsem of 40% with mock interviews of 5% and other of class engagement and attendance

Interview Experience

5

In the interview they asked simple logic questions and maths questions along with what you want to do your achievements etc Clearing interview is the essential step for getting admission There is no need to prepare for the interview just be confident and there is a high chance that you will get through

Night Life

2

Before few weeks the campus was 24/7 and we used to hangout throughout the campus like sitting near the neem tree or going to arena to play some games or sitting in the mess studying something but now the college has a curfew period from 11 pm to 5am so till 11 we used to go to liberary or classroom to study or hangout

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am in the computer science and engineering branch. I want to be a software developer and I am passionate about coding and I love to code that's why I am chosen this branch. The faculty members of my college are awesome and helpful. They are well qualified and knowledgeable. They cooperate with students in every situation . they focus much on the weak student so they can also pass the exam. they use the blackboard and smart classes both to teach the student effectively. we have industrial exposure also. the well built spacious will have no importance if not for the wonderful faculty the college has. All are faculty members are highly knowledgeable and done their post graduation from one of the top colleges like IITS. and most of the teachers are GATE qualified and even it is not once. they are writing the exam regularly. so, if you prepare for the GATE exam, then you can get great help from them. they used to prepare us for the GATE exam, along with academics

Remarks:

I am a Delhite and my college is on outskirts of Delhi and also i being residing near du north campus used to think i will enjoy the same college life. but being into a professional (b.tech) course gave me a different view of college and its life. i came to know how to lead a professional ethic life, learnt some good meaningful things.college management is getting strict day by day for laws against students but the other tasks like things that need to be get done from peon are not getting done. ac's dont work even after complaints. in total the college needs a great improvement else it will keep running the business with no fruits.
