Course Curriculum Overview

4

Me being student of bachelor of arts economics honours As i started to pursue my course in starting seeing maths and maths i scared as I was not that good at maths but when I started studying the subject somehow teaches more than just concept and theory , Studying microeconomics i learned how market works what are the odds and supply demand and it was very practical that in Market i sometimes stand and thing how all this things in market is being sold purchase margin loss everything also in statistics I have no regret choosing economic honours and I'm very confident that after completing my course I'll be knowing so much about day to day life practically. The only thing I request my college is to improve maths department as it's very average not that great . Semester start from January but before that two internal assignment are held .

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of Delhi college of arts and commerce is very simple and good not so complicated. I got admission in this college in 2024 which is current year I gave exam cuet ( common university entrance exam) in got addmission through it , in my councelling I had paid 13500 rupees for the admission as admission fees to this college and i enrolled in September 2024 .I'm in bachelor of arts economics honours and my fees is 12500 per semester and this semester is held twice a year so the total feel per annum for the three year is 26000. Students of other departments have also paid the same weather they are of bcom honours of ba journalism every student paid same amount but people of ews quota and PWD quota pay less their fees are less as compared to every normal student I don't know the exact amount they pay but their fees are less per semester. Except fees college charge no extra money literally nothing money from you no extra fee for canteen or Library or anything, it's been more than 3 months of me joining and studying in this college only extra money I paid was for my society of economics group of college and nothing else and it was only 250 rupees for fest of economics department and rather than that place you will have to pay is semester exam charge 1310 to give semester exam

Campus Life

4

The campus life is so good and happening that you don't feel left out anywhere anytime. There are many societies like 1) leher which of poetry society 2) dastkah society of music 3) drift up society of dance 4) vangati society of bcom department 5) ecolibrium society of economics department 6) adroit society of advertising 7) enactus 8) girl up Tara 9) any many more of civil services, environment, sports . These are the society of college which is very great if you join them they bring out very best of yourself and help you grow and develope your self .

Admission

Honestly I didn't choose this college for this course I had applied for other colleges like Shri Ram College of commerce and kirorimal and other colleges of North campus of Delhi University and mainly banars hindu University but I couldn't make it there because my score was not enough to get into those colleges in preference list I got admission in this college as i qualified the cutoff of Delhi college of arts and commerce in counseling of Delhi University I made mistake in preference list as I put Delhi college of arts and commerce above atma Ram Sanatan Dharma college because of this I could not make it there and ended up here . To get into this college I had to give cuet exam of subjects which I had studied in my class 12th . Delhi University take best of three subjects and one language for ba and then total score is counted out of total what is made . The second round cutoff of my course was 432 sc category and my marks was 437 so I made it easily.

Faculty

4

Faculty of the college is good but very great I'm in first year of ba economics honours and I have 3 major subject which are - 1 - mathematics methods of economics 2- microeconomics 3- statistics 4- ge( basics of journalism) 5- sec( it skills and data analysis) 6 - vac ( financial literacy) These are my subject in first semester the teacher of mathematics is not very good and teacher of economics is nice and statistics is also nice and for ge the teacher is very good and sec same teacher of maths teach which is decent, Vac teacher is good but for vac department of other courses also join so mam struggle to handle the crowded class and we get less to learn . We have internal exam which is for 12 marks then marks for attendance 5 in internal marks teacher teach us very well how to perform in semester no doubt in this .

Night Life

3

There is no nightlife in or around my college college starts from 8 and get close around 5 and after that no student are allowed to stay in college late night untill and unless there is any fest or important work . There is gym which available for everyone no cost or registeration. Cafeteria is good that everyone gonna love it the area is not so big but it has capacity of 60 person at a time the food is cheap and tasty and hygienic There is no hostal service available in college The famous place to hangout near college is sarojini nagar where you can relax and do shopping also if you want to buy anything.

Other Applied Colleges

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
