Course Curriculum Overview

5

The reason why i chose this particular course was due to its demand. Economics and computer application is a such combination which attracts Good Placements and opportunities for future. I would say it would prepare you greatly fpr the future not just academically but also in every aspect of your life. The areas for improvement can be practical learning. Even for our practical sec , vac subjects there isn't a adequate system . For the exams , they happen only at the end of a semester and it doesn't offer mid-sem exams like other universities.

Internships Opportunities

5

Again the situation of internships are same as placements , they are also really good . The last year only a girl was offered a stipend of 140000 for a 2 month internship. The internships are also offered by hige companies like BCG and all.

Placement Experience

5

So , 3rd and 4th year students are offered placements. If you want you can sit for the placement in third year or the 4th year , that solely depends on you. In LSR , companies like McKinsey, boston consulting group(BCG), Deloitte, Trinity etc offers amazing deals. And the average package actually now stands at 1100000 something, the data i added before was previous one. And around 60% students something gets offer if you have a course like ECO hons or BCOM hons only.My plans after degree is to get a good placement in a good company.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees i pay for BA PROGRAM in LSR is 29500 and according to 2020 data it might show you the fees around 21000 , So yes there is a lil inflation and it does differ upon subjects and all since my subject is a little practical, thats why its a lil costly but for others its like 20k approx. Like my friend who has BA history, her fees is 20k only and there is obc and sc/st relaxation too. There is a Exam fees also for every semester which again depends on your subject. Since my subject were practical, my fees was 1250 but for others it was around 1k or something only. And for scholarship , it is mostly for those who comes from a poor economic background and also it depends on department also .

Campus Life

5

The name of our college fest is TARANG which is held in the month of march for the span time of three days where a lot of big companies are sponsored. The range and accessibility of books is just huge . There are three floors in library of books for every department and there is a reference room also where you can always seat in peace and study till 7 pm if you want . There are projectors in every classroom and the new building classrooms are very nice. There are many sports offered in the college also if you are an athlete or sports enthusiast , the facilities aren't the best but there is huge variety offered for sports . There are many many social groups and clubs and all . You might just even get tired if you start filling forms for every society or club . And not just the quantity, the quality of the clubs and amazing, the reputation is very well known in whole DU.

Admission

You get into DU through a exam called CUET where mostly your 12th syllabus related questions are given subject wise. And after the result is out , you have to make a preference list for the Colleges. For me , LSR was on my second preference and SRCC at first but i am much happier that i got this college and the reason why i couldn't go to srcc was because of my low score and poor making of preference list only.

Faculty

3

The faculty is adequate. Its not the best but not the worst either. And till now there hasn't been much huge problems related to faculty. The exams go smooth, and to say if exams are easy or not, it again depends upon your course . Not many people fail the exam also, unless you never show up for classes and also studied nothing for exams.

Night Life

2

I would say that actually there is no night life in my college because the hostel facility bas been off for like 1or 2 years now since it's in renovation they say. And the max time of staying back in college is around 7-7:30 pm only .

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
