Course Curriculum Overview

5

So, from 12th i use to love coding and made a passion for the profession and that influenced me to take my decision to choose this course. From 1st year we had basic 11 and 12th studies to get ready for the curriculum and from 2nd year we had started our course curriculum properly like coding mathematics, Cs organization and application and all that. Some of the recent courses like AI and Machine learning and generative ai and datascience related courses should add from 2nd year so that students can start their study early and make newer projects also real life projects that would help them to get placement early. I think the time we get for every semester that is 6 months and that is enough i thnik for students to complete one semester and the difficulty level is descent for good students.

Placement Experience

5

From 6th semester you are eligible for campusing rounds. Companies would start to come to college for placements and selects students by placement rounds. Till now Accenture, TCS, Trustt, DeltaX, mthree, codeyoung, Jaro Education and few more companies have came to our college. And only 7% students placed from our batch amd this figure is very scary for other students. Placement situation is not good in college right now. Over 270 students only 7% placed. Along with my friends I am searching for off-campus Placements after getting the degree because campusing process is very uncertain and not good. And 2nd plan is to higher studies in computer science in india or foreign countries.

Fees and Financial Aid

So, College have some fixed fee structure for batch 2021-25 and that is 4,84,000Rs. per person for every general category students and for TFW students only 1200 per semester. There is compulsory uniform fee for each student that is 5000Rs. The year-wise fee i pay for college is 1,13,000Rs. In the time of admission i had to pay 72000Rs.,and for next sem i had paid 65000 Rs.,and after that every semester we had to pay 56,500Rs. College helps to get multiple scholarships as we wants to apply for. I personally got "Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship" and i get 60000Rs. Per year that's really helps me to pay my college fees. There are others scholarships students can apply for e.g. Jindal Scholarship, Tata scholarship, Reliance Scholarship based on your merits.

Campus Life

College have at least one major annual festival. These festival often showcase the diverse talents of students, foster a sense of community, and provide a platform for cultural exchange. They typically include events like music and dance performances, drama competitions, art exhibitions, and food stalls. Common months for these festivals are February, March. Technical Festivals are usually organized by engineering or technology-focused departments. They often feature workshops, coding competitions, robotics events, guest lectures by industry professionals, and hackathons. These festivals often take place in September-October. Book Collection, the range of books varies significantly between institutions. A well-stocked library will have a diverse collection covering various disciplines, including humanities, sciences, engineering, business, and more. This is a general overview of me.

Admission

As i had given WBJEE exam and had to select colleges based on my rank and in first round i got this college and on the confirmation day i confirmed the college. I choose the college because of campusing seems good. I didn't get rejection from any college, this was my 1st choice and i got selected for this college. So, first you need take your confirmation paper print and other documents and go to college and if you wants to join this college then submit them Yes paper and if you don't want to take admission and looking for next rounds then submit them No paper. If you submitted yes then you are directed to go to seminar hall and take admission with admission fees. And next you will get mail for registration process date. After get registered with university you are a student of the college now. This is the process of admission.

Faculty

Being a computer Science student i get a very good faculty members who really helps every other students of the college and the bonding we have with our faculties is very good, also they are very strict in nature. Some names i can mention like Shubrapratim Nath sir our HOD is very knowledgeable in nature and very helpful for every students also we have papiya ma'am , Sutirtha kr. Guha sir , Rehana ma'am all are very knowledgeable and kind teachers. We have 4 internal exams i.e. Ca1,Ca2,Ca3,Ca4 and one final university exam for every semester. Semester exam is not very tough for good students but also 2-3% students fail(get backlogs) . Over all the course curriculum is perfect for students as per requirements from the industry.

Interview Experience

No, there is no such gd happened during admission round. The only criteria is,you have to came in the range of their pre approved rank criteria. If someone is under the criteria then he or she would eventually selected. Yes, i had a mental preparation for those rounds, but there wasn't as such preparation i had taken.

Night Life

4

So first of all there is no gym in my college or campus areas. Cafeterias operate on specific hours, usually closing between 9 PM and 11 PM. Libraries often have extended hours, staying open until midnight or even later during exam seasons. Common areas like quads or student centers may have varying closing times depending on the college, but generally remain open until late evening. * Hostel and Campus-in Timings: Hostel and campus-in timings vary greatly depending on the college's policies. Some may have strict curfews, while others offer more flexibility. On-Campus:Often buzzing with activity, offering games, lounges, and food options. Popular spots for socializing and grabbing a late-night snack. Common areas within dorms where students can gather and relax.

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
