Remarks

College is very good and there is nothing taking away from the management in ensuring that the college has all the latest books, infra, faculty, equipment, sports facilities which helps student sin honing their skills and make the college proud.

Entrance Preview

No Entrance exam; only cut-offs basis the marks you score in the 12th class. It also conducts an interview for students who want to enroll themselves in the Economics course and one has to clear this round to be able to get admission. But clearly, clearing cut-offs is a first step which I believe is an important hurdle to pass through. Generally, the cut-offs for Economics are 92%+

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is standard across all Delhi University colleges, so DCAC College is no different but talking about Faculty, I believe its one of the best in the Delhi University. Not only are teachers very helpful and understanding but possess strong academic knowledge of the Subject (Economics) which goes onto be a very much a plus point for this college.

Internships Opportunities

For Internship, there are many companies ranging from Consulting, KPOs, Back office, Banks and IT companies which show up during one week of Placement cycle. Overall the intake of students by these companies is pretty good and the percentage of students placed ranges from 50%-70% which is really good for DU I believe. The Stipend offred is ranging from 20,000 to 50,000 per month

Placement Experience

4

Overall the placements of students by these companies is pretty good and the percentage of students placed ranges from 50%-70% which is really good for DU I believe. The job opportunities galore as there are many companies ranging from Consulting, KPOs, Back office, Banks and IT companies which show up during one week of Placement cycle.

College Events

4.5

There are many cultural events starting from Freshers Party, to annual Fest, backed by many Subject specific fests such as Economics Fest to Finance, etc. All these events are celebrated with many volunteers and committees framed to ensure proper organizing and all.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Very simple fee structure with one time annual payment ranging from 10,000 to 20,000 every year which I think is very nominal in today's times. There are various charges of Library, Sports ground, cafeteria, Subject level contributions for clubs, etc included in the fee structure. This is taken in the month of July and August. Also, one has to pay a nominal fee to Exams which are conducted annually and ranges from 1000 to 3000. Overall, very good infrastructure ensures that you feel you are not overpaying and I guess these are very nominal charges to pay for the studies keeping in mind the quality of inputs you get from the college

Fees and Financial Aid

There are scholarships doled out to students with great academic record and marks to show for. Overall a good structure already kin place

Campus Life

4

Given the range of fests and events which are organized, the campus life is very en-thrilling and enjoyable for the sheer exposure you get with participation in such fests

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel facilities are not available but the food in canteen is good and it is famous for its Chai and Samosa. Add to it usual ones like Pakoda, and Coffee. Personally, i like d Chai and Samosa

Alumni/Alumna

The college has a very well organized annual Alumni Network which is happening every year without fail. I must say every alumni looks forward to this event as its an opportunity to reconnect with peers and faculty.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is good and happens annually with internal exams being conducted once in the month of December. Overall the exams infrastructure is also very good and add to it a very supporting faculty whoch goes on to ensure that students are not nervous

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
