Course Curriculum Overview

4

So basically I choose this course because it is not that much theoretical and I find learning theory a bit difficult. We have subjects like maths statistics and micro and macroeconomics. I would not say that the level is easy ,definitely not . it is between the moderate to difficult level basically. I choose this scones because it is very relevant to the modern day corporate world and industries and the skills we There are one and semester exams which is conducted by Delhi University and between these are the internals and continuous assessment exam which lies in the interval of 15 to 20 days depends on the teachers . The difficulty level is between moderate to difficult

Internships Opportunities

4

So basically there is a placement cell in my college which time to time provide internship opportunities to student interest is student applied to the particular internship and then selected students pursue their internships.

Placement Experience

4

In my college the student of semester 5 or basically the third year students are applicable for the campus placements. There are very famous companies that visited my college including Google, PayPal, Amazon, and the big for companies including deloite , EY etc. The highest package of the last year was of 45 lakhs which was given to a student of economics honours. And also the major placements of students are from the courses in like BCom honours, economic honours, English honours. the average package of last year was 10 lakhs to 12 lacs. Basically the rest of the student sit for placement and among them 60% of students get placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

So the fees for first year of economics honours at LSR is 20400 indian rupees. As the year increases there is a slight increase in the fees as well for 2nd year and 3rd year like 21000 . But overall the fees remains around 20000-21000 indian rupees. There are no other charges at the college. But you have to pay fees for the CUET registration which is around 1000-2000 indian rupees. This fees also varies for reserved and un reserved category. After that there is One registeration fees also for Delhi University.

Campus Life

5

So starting from all the events that happened at my college includes freshers party which is basically a department freshers. Then in the month of October November there comes the Diwali fest of lsr which is named as Noor. The Diwali fest is a really good because there are a lot of options for students to get their stalls installed in the college and dance facilities food facilities and all the fun are available at college. After that comes the annual and the most exciting fest of lsr which is Tarang the annual fest. Tarang is a three day fest that is basically conducted between February to March.

Admission

So I choose this college because it is one among the best college of Delhi University and the allumni network of lsr is really great. Including famous personalities from Bollywood, civil services, and athletes as well like Manu bhakar and Tina dabi. Lsr was my for 2nd preference the first was Shri Ram College of commerce which is basically in the north campus. But I wasn't able to make it to that college because of the high cut off. At the end of the day I am very happy that I am in lsr because this is the college where you will find women empowerment to our next level and if you are an under confident person then come to lsr it will make you a very confident person because girls here uplift each other. And most importantly you will find more safety here as compared to other colleges so you can wear any kind of dress you want I believe that's the major point. To the admission process of my college is similar to other colleges of Delhi University which is basically through the C u e t exam and then registered to Delhi University portal after that according to your marks you will be allotted college so we have to firstly make a preference list of all the colleges we would like to take admission into and based on the marks colleges are allocated. After that there are some document verification that are made by the college so that's the whole process basically. So cut off also very is for reserved and unreserved for unreserved category the cutoff is above 700 marks out of 8 00 and for reserved category cut off is above 600 marks and below also.

Faculty

4

So there is one teacher to the 75 students in a class. But the teachers here are really friendly like they are kind of our friends also. The approachability to a teacher depends on the CR of the class because we don't have the direct phone numbers of the teacher but we do have their email ids so if any thing we want to discuss with the teachers we can discuss it in class and also through our CR. I believe every teacher who has taught me till now I am on the best teachers because of their nature and their academic knowledge as well. So we only have and semester exams which is conducted by Delhi University and the level of these exams changes from moderate to difficult at least for this year. Beside these we do have internal exams and continuous assessments which constitute of 70 marks and they are on the level of easy to moderate depends on the teachers basically. We to have marks for attendance I believe the teachers are fair enough to give those marks. So the results of semester 1 has not be declared so I can't tell the fail students and all of the information regarding that. I believe my course is very relevant to the industry and to the corporate world because all the academic knowledge became here are directly applicable to the industries.

Night Life

3

So basically most of the classes get over by 5:30 p.m. in the evening so there is not any major night time activity around my college. But again there are markets which includes many good cafes and food joints so students go there and enjoy their time. For the safety I would say campus is pretty safe in the night as well because there is PCR van at front of my college all time. And majorly I don't think students go in night to enjoy around the campus because there are other places in Delhi itself to enjoy so not that much night life.

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
