Course Curriculum Overview

4

My program is combination of two subjects which is Entrepreneurship and small businesses and computer applications in this world everyone is so much innovative especially our youth I had a plan to start my own startup so I thought entrepreneurship is good for me as not only ee study the theory in detail for management and business examples and case studies discussed in class are helpful for me and talking about computer applications programing languages helps us to make different apps so looking forward to be an entrepreneur and if I know how to make apps or having a good knowledge in technology I eill be having good skills in future which will also help me in placements as the languages like. python, c++, JAVA are very useful and especially AI these days so this course will help me for. my futuristic goals.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no scholarship given in the college though the fees is very less if you cleared the cuttoff of Gargi college as it is a government college so BA programe course fees is 0-97, 600 ofor three years fees may vary from course to course if we talk about BSC it will range about 24000-91, 000, for bcom hons it is 24000 per year for certifications it is 15k if we comparr it from other prestigious college of Du Gargi have an affordable fees structure however an outstation student have to manage other expenses to but the person who have hometown in Delhi so its quite affordable for them. Year wise fees I will be paying is 18000.The college asks for performs for BA department that is 800/- and if I talk about examination fees it will range about 1500-2000/- for all the courses. There is no differences of fres between SC ,OBC, EWS, or ST but they do have cutt-off differences from unreserved category for example for B. com hons you need around 740/800 cutt-off may vary from year to year for BA program it is 690-700, but if we talk about reserved category in BCom you need to score 690 and in BA program you need to score 500-550 in CUET examination conducted by NTA.

Campus Life

Talking about the overall experience 1.The annual fest if Gagri is held in the month of February including many activities sports and cultural events so you get a good exposure whether it comes to dance, drama, singing, sports, quiz competitions debate etc. 2.Gargu college library includes around 80000 accessible books with e-books and including all the subjects of commerce, science, languages like hindi, English, urdu, Punjabi etc and include story books as well. 3.The facilities and technological provisions may vasry from class to class htere are small classes, big classes lecture halls etc and there are projectors. 4.Sports facilities for cricket, basketball and tennis is available although they don't have a badminton court. 5.The best oart is the clubs societies provided by the college includes many ti enhance our skills which will later on help to bulid our CV and helps to provide internships as well The societies are 1.Upstage the dramatics society focuses in theatre script and enhance our thinking skills 2.Kshitj(Nukkad) 3 . Glass eye (Film Making) 4.Elnlyvin(The Western dance society) 5.Nazakat(The classical dance) These are the cultural societies, college do have marketing, placement cell, commerc association, enactus entrepreneurial, CDF, NSS and the eco club focuses of the sustainability. So there are lot many opportunities we just need to find which fits good for us and we will be having good exposure.

Admission

I choose this college because this is one of the good colleges of Delhi University because the society culture here is commendable helps to us to have experience in different field including marketing, finance, HR , or if you are in dramatics or dance you will go to next level if you work hard there were other colleges in my prefernce above Gargi college but I didn't clear the cutt-off of that so I was alloted this college. My first preference was Shri Ram College of Commerce Asia's top commerce college and followed by Hansraj, Hindu, Kirorimal, Ramjas Venkateshwara the cutt-off for these colleges arr very high my score was not upto the mark to get admission in these colleges where I went erong was my overconfidence thinking that I have completed my course and I know everything and here I was wrong if the person is giving CUET he/she should be doing the practice of OMR sheets as you cannot change your answers because if yoj gibe movk test in CBT mode not practicing in OMR it may lead to lack of speed in exams and If you know the correct answers stills yoj might tick the wrong one so it is very important to complete your syllabus , revise and practice in OMRs.

Faculty

4

1.Facutly student ratio is approximately 1:40 faculties here are good if we ask doubts so they will help us they will tell us hoe to write answers properly in exams. They are easily approachable but firstly we need to tell our issues to CRs (Class representative) then they carry forward it to teachers 2 .The name of the faculty that I like Ms. Rimpi PAl Kundu she used to teach us SEC in first semester she is very lininent make us understand everything and have adressed us in practical exam very nicely understanding all our situations. 3.The name of faculty I didn't like is Ethi mam she do not teaches us well and class is less interactive she used to teach us the subject fundamental of entrepreneurs in business organization. 4.Exam difficulty level may vary from subject to subject but they are quite hard even if we have studied each and everything papers here are very lengthy we need to maintain our speed in exams out teachers tell use to write proper answers for 5 marks it should be 3-4 pages which leads to difficulty in time management.

Night Life

3

The colleges is not that much airy it is little bit congested but the ground is very big provides auditorium, library, there is no hostel college includes one canteen but there are hardly any options and also Nestcafe which provides coffee or few snacks so campus life is not up to the mark

Other Applied Colleges

Shri Ram College of Commerce - [SRCC] | Bachelor of Commerce [B.Com] {Hons.}

I wanted to opt for this college but I did not cleared the cutt off of college and course it is the top college amongst college so you have to score the perfect score in atleast one subject with inly tree wrong in another

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
