Ram Lal Anand College-An Insight

The college is very good.The infrastructure may switch off your zeal but its a good place to start.Some of the professors are exceptionally well.The college has a fine canteen and the office staff is too tough to deal with.

It is very good and provides a great insight into history,politics of language, ideological aspects,and our own conscience.The curriculum is inclusive of the art of living life than just being a mere approach to daily study process.It develops the us an individual and gives us an access to all the great and milestone writers who are not just writers but the symbolic representation of an era.

Yes,it does provide internships,it also had an internship fair conducted and recruited several people from the college.The college takes well care of exposing the students to such opportunities but I didn't opt for it as I was already doing an internship from the first year.

The Career Placement Cell of the college exposes the students to various job opportunities and in all fields possible.It runs several programmes like Tourism and Hospitality,to learn such skills and let them have a job.

There are different events celebrated within the college which include- 1.National and International Seminars-The best seminars conducted are by the Literary society in topics like queerness and the microbiology department,which conducts international seminar. 2.Self defense-There are programmes conducted by women's welfare association of the college which are helpful in constantly making the students aware about the self defense and it's importance. 3.Annual College Fest-The annual fest conducted by the college consists of the star night,the programmes through various societies, etc. 4.Annual Function-The college conducts the annual function in which the prizes are distributed to the achievers from all the departments and other fields of achievement. All of it is a very jolly experience and observes the involvement of a large number of students from all the departments.

The fee structure is very much feasible and not at all expensive but for some courses it is a little expensive as the students of Computer science and microbiology have to face a little more than the other course students.But none the less,the college does provide several scholarships too.

The college,as all DU colleges offer,does offer several fee waivers to the exceptionally performing students in academics or any extra curriculars.As well as,it offers a large number of scholarships for northeastern students,the poor students,the ones who face marginalisation. Several laptops are distributed each semester so that students don't face any difficulty in accessing stuff related to academics.

The college consists of Labs for experimenting and for computer science students,a sports room equipped with most of the equipments,it has an amphitheatre and a seminar room for the successful conduct of all the necessary seminars and programmes,the college has a front lawn where all the fests and other things are conducted.Everything is good.Not extremely good but atleast better than what most of the colleges in DU offer.

The college doesn't have any hostel but does have mediocre good infrastructure as recently even lift has been constructed to ensure smooth movement of the handicapped students.One issue with the infrastructure is that the residual area of the college which was meant to be used by the college for its further constructions is being used by Aryabhatt college which shares the joint premise and is resulting of lack of space for Ram lal anand itself.

Yes,the seniors are very helpful and are pursuing their masters with other colleges of Delhi.Also,they are extremely helpful and knowledgible in their approach.Not all of them are good enough but those who are,are exceptionally good.

The examination structure consists of 2 semester exams and 2 internal assessments in each semester.This helps the students to gain a constant practice paper to check their knowledge.It is the common way of Delhi University's conduct of examination.

I submitted the common DU admission form as well as the individual form of RLA college,and hence I came to be eligible according to their cut off list,therefore I got the admission after the verification of my documents.

The faculty of Ram Lal Anand College for English is very good and each teacher tries to teach us the subject with the real life examples and not just as a bookish subject.Each teacher here as an extraordinary individuality which helps us in understanding the subject with a better off understanding.The imperfections include the extremism of thought process at times but then atleast they provide us the necessary courage for vociferation to survive.
