Course Curriculum Overview
I'm happy with psychology course structure. But after the NEP, subjects like vac,sec and aec seem baseless. We just go to classes for attendance sake and dont really learn anything and waste a lot of time waiting for these classes.
Fees and Financial Aid
I paid ?19515 which is quite affordable as compared to other colleges' psycholgy courses. Financial assistance is available for students whose parents earn an annual income of ? 4 lakh or less. There aren't any particular college scholarships.
Campus Life
The overall campus life of Gargi is fabulous. We have various cultural fests along with events and workshops organised by Clubs. Navotsav( Navratri fest) is typically organised in October where Dandiya is a part of it. We have Diwali fest before Diwali generally in October- November. Then we have our Annual fest- Reverine generally organised in February. The infrastructure of Gargi is better compared to other colleges. In January 2025, our college's bew building was inaugurated.
Admission
I just applied to Delhi University and my preference list included colleges like LSR, JMC, DRC,IPCW, Kamla Nehru along With Gargi. I couldn't get in LSR so the second best choice was Gargi after it so I went with Gargi without considering other colleges. The admissions process for DU is CUET. My score was 764 and I belong to General Category.
Faculty
This year, Gargi accepted a huge batch size in Applied Psychology department as compared to previous years. Each core course was taught by 2 professors diving the units between them. The faculty is very nice. They are friendly and approachable and even help students with other personal problems. There are 7 subjects per semester: 3 core subjects, GE, SEC, VAC, and Aec.
Night Life
The only hangout spot near Gargi is the famous DIGGIN cafe which is just in front of it. Except this there aren't any cafe or hangout spots near it. Gargi college doesn't provide hostel so there's no night life in Gargi or around it.
