Likes
- The faculty is good . Based on subjects I can tell that the teaching is very good
- Hostel is very good . Safety is well maintained. Well lit campus .
Dislikes
- Hostel food is very bland and sometimes becomes repetitive
- Since it's a hill station lot of issues with power , water and other things are to be concerned about . The campus is far from the hospital. It's a major disadvantage to all the students .
- The town is very far the campus . So the basic amenities are not available in the college . It becomes very difficult to pay 150 rupees just to fetch a basic necessity.
Course Curriculum Overview
Good all in all . Frequency is ..three months once one internal exam . Mostly it'll be difficult but manageable. Teaching mode is mostly Ppt presentation.but the teachers try to utilise as much as possible.
Fees and Financial Aid
At Koims , the fees for general category is 71500(tuition fees ) and 9000( hostel fees ) annually . For those who have reservations, the fees will come down to 500 rupees. For the internship, we pay 35000 rupees. The intership is a paid one . We get a decent money , atleast better than other govt colleges in other states . Scholarships include Jindal , ssp and income based .
Campus Life
Overall experience Good and bad so far . Had all the fun. Studied happily Doing well with the subjects Clinical postings are good. Mental health becomes very important. So one should take care of themselves since they are far from home
Hostel Facilities
Facility is good Spacious. 2 or 3 per room depending on the number of students per batch............. Mess food is bearable Healthy Sanitation is well maintained.... And when it comes to bathroom , it is spacious with geysers
Admission
Eligibility exam : NEET UG For my score , i would get this college. Admission process is through online mode . I got into MBBS because that was my only goal I always wanted to become a doctor. Hence I choose it and got it.
Faculty
Faculty is always there to help us . With anything and everything. Very much concerned about the studies of the students. Subject wise ..in the first year : Anatomy faculty is great , Physiology faculty is less , Biochemistry is also good . In the second year , pathology faculty is the best , microbiology is alright and pharmacology is very good . In the third year , PSM Faculty is great , forensic medicine faculty is good . In the fourth year all the faculties are pretty much good . Clinically , a great place to learn if you show interest . When it comes to exams , there will three internals per year and one university exam including the practicals . Exams are moderate to difficult range . They try to pass everybody but again it's the students hands .
Night Life
Nightlife is safe .. The cut off time for girls is 8 pm All girls should be within the hostel before 8. Attendance will be taken every single day . There is a biometric machine for attendance in girls hostel .
