Remarks

There are both positives and negatives. The college is really nice, except that the societies in the college are not very active and the environment lacks a bit vibrance. However, the liberal environment is unique and unmatched.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The Course Curriculum is really interesting. The subject matter is very vast and on the top of that, very liberal. We get credits on completion of each course and I really find it to be good, overall.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, the college does provide internships. It is different for various courses. For the vocational courses, there are internships in various companies, and the stipend is 15k on an average. The career cell also introduces students from other courses to various internships via email. Apart from this, the college has a 'Earn While You Learn' scheme. It involves internships at the campus. Like, helping in the college admission procedure, which has a pay of ?500 per day and there is another one called a 'Language Buddy' program, that is, helping other students to learn English language. The pay and experience, both are really good.

Placement Experience

3

The placements and job opportunities are really good. There is a well established career cell. However, these opportunities are only available for the students pursuing vocational courses, such as, Law and Governance, Retail Management, and so on. For the rest of the courses, there aren't any such provision.

College Events

3

There are many events that are celebrated. First, is the freshers for the juniors and the farewell for the graduating batch. Then, there is an annual cultural fest - 'Audacity', which is the major event. There is also a spring fest, a sports fest and a celebration of the mental health day.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees varies for different courses. It is feasible for every course, though. There is also a provision of a fee waiver for the students belonging to the Economically Backward Section. There are slots divided on the basis of the family's yearly income.

Fees and Financial Aid

As mentioned above, there is a fee waiver for those belonging to the EWS category. Apart from this, there is a SWF (Student Welfare Fund), which helps students afford their books and stationary. And there is also a provision of scholarship based on the merit scored by the students in each semester.

Campus Life

4

There is a good facility in terms of extracurricular too. There is a football ground, a sports room for the indoor games, such as, table tennis, carrom, etcetera. There is also a basketball court. In terms of labs, there is good IT lab. And the extracurricular activities are dance, music, theatre, visual arts, and some others.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel infrastructure and the facilities are both really good. The charges are feasible too. The hostel is only available at one of the three campuses, though. At others, it is under construction. On a scale of 1-10, I'd rate it a 7.

Alumni/Alumna

There is a well structured alumni network. The college email keeps all the past and present students connected. And there is also an alumni network on the website. Both the almunus and the senior students are very helpful.

Exam Structure

The examinations are held two times in each semester. First is the mid-term and second is the end-term. Apart from this, a faculty can conduct several class tests, if they wish to. The exam pattern is very liberal, however. The faculty can either take a written test, or a presentation or a home assignment as well.

Admission

I applied through an online form and filled in my course preferences. And then, around a month later, there were merit lists announced on the website. I got in through the third merit list, based on my 12th board marks.

Faculty

4

The faculty is great. They're one of the best in Delhi. Infact, some of the alumnus from good universities, such as, Delhi University, Christ University, and so on teach courses here. Also, the faculty is always available after classroom too.

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
