Remarks

It is a very elitist college. You will have to find your own space. A very competitive college. As a fresher you will feel very uncomfortable in the starting, but you will find your space sometimes later. If you want to grow, this college will help you, but for that you will have to participate. Also being a girls college, this college will empower you!

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Du curriculum is followed only. The curriculum is little abruptly distributed in my course. I should be a little more chronological. There are semester exams after every semester and there are also internals, which consistute 25 marks.

Placement Experience

4.5

Yes, my college offers internships and placements. There is a placement cell which helps in getting you placed. I got an internship of 10k for a month. The highest a student got for an internship is 1lakh. The highest placed student in Lsr placements in 38 lakhs annually.

College Events

5

Noor(diwali mela) - diwali mela is organized every year in Oct-Nov by NSS. There are amazing stalls to shop and great eating joints. Tarang(College Annual festival) is organized by the students union. Its a 3day fest. It has stalls, activities and in the evening one day is the star night, one day Bollywood, one day Dj.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible. My annual feel is 15k. Maximum it goes till 25k for all the courses. Very cheap as compared to all the universities. The facilities are also really good as compared to the fees structure. A middle class family can afford it. The pgs though if you are an outstation are really really costly.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am not sure about it. But the people whose family earn less than 6lakhs annually are offered some concessions. Not really sure about how much the concession is though. You surely get a scholarship when you score good marks. You can apply for it.

Campus Life

3.5

The sports is really good . You can easily be a part of NSO. The societies are active and hardworking. Labs are well maintained. The college provides very less funds for the societies though, but they are still very progressing.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel is really good. There isn't any AC. But the food is also really good. Its difficult to get a hostel though, you only get if you are an outstation student, plus it is decided on the marks you get in your class 12th,if you clear the hostel cut off, there is an interview.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, seniors are very very helpful. No ragging at all. We have a mentor mentee thing in our department. Every fresher is assigned a mentor(senior), where the fresher can take help from the senior on anything. The alumni network is also very strong. There is an alumni cell too.

Admission

You just need to score good in your class 12th exams. General category needs marks more than 96,in almost all the courses. After the cutoff is released and you meet the desired cut off, you just need to come to Lsr with your marksheet(10th and 12th),address proof, school passing certificate, 4 photographs.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty of my department is really really good. Most of the teachers are qualified from JNU. They have great knowledge about the discipline. Some are very friendly and easy to contact with, not all though. The senior teachers are well versed and make the subjects interesting. They are very serious and passionate about teaching.

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
