The College is underrated and is actually nice. You should do some research about the faculty of your respective course first when you are joining. There is respective page of all departments of college in Facebook. So you can contact them and ask. They will give you genuine advice.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is good but there is practical element missing in it which is the case with mostly with all colleges in India. There are six semesters in total. Two semesters each year. a)Semester one and two are comparatively easy. Semester 3 and 4 are the most difficult and carries the most weightage. Semester 5 and 6 are comparatively easily compared to 3rd and 4th. b)There is cbcs the grading system c) each paper is of 75 marks You have to be regular in studies from starting and attend the classes.
Placement Experience
Yes there is placement cell they provide internships and after college placements. The placement cell is in development process it’s not that active. So you might have to look up for job yourself after college. Don’t expect much.
College Events
There is Sports Day celebrated in college. Then Annual fest of College for two days and different societies hold competition for all college students and celebrity performance at night. Then there is Annual fest of all respective departments separately where they also hold competition for all colleges, Then there is separate Annual fest of all college societies.
Fee Structure And Facilities
because of various government policies for ugc the fees is 15000 to 18000 on average. Well it is all worth it because it’s Delhi University and there are active societies unlike all other colleges this makes it feasible.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes there is scholarship facility for backward classes people for which you have to write an essay. It is available for normally students as well you have to ask for it in the office. Also if you top your respective subject you will get some scholarship.
Campus Life
The extracurricular activities are quite active in my college. The theatre society is on of the best in DU. The debating society (Hindi and English) photography and filmmaking society is very good, singing and music are also decent, dancing society is decent, fashion society is decent.
Hostel Facilities
There is no hostel provide by college but there is one in the construction process. I lived in a PG which costed around10000 including food with three sharing in Rajouri Garden C block. You have to research a lot about pg.
Alumni/Alumna
They are not that active in our college. But the senior students are all helpful you can ask for any help. They will assist you. But make sure you ask for help. This is absolutely ragging free campus you will face no issues
Faculty
The faculty is decent. My college’s History, English and Geography faculty is the best. When talking about economics it’s also decent. They are all good professors either DSE graduates or From top universities.
