- College campus is really beautiful and it’s connected to nature as well located at mountains of Uttarakhand
- Qualified faculty in fact teacher are very friendly to students which makes the interaction much easier
- College life at UPES is really good student’s are really nice college events are very good here
Dislikes
- Conditions of roads currently are very bad maybe due to the bad weather or something
- One thing i don’t like is really the 75% attendance criteria
- There are water problems in some area of the college clean water to take bath or wash clothes
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course due to my own intrest in civil engineering and buildings i choose this college because of the opportunities i saw in this college whether it is faculty or the labs or the equipment's over here . Teaching method of the professor here makes it more easy to understand the course basics . Exams are at moderate level but the endsem i could say are difficult to pass u need to study hard.
Internships Opportunities
There are internships every year at the sem break in june-july and u need to be serious in that i have done one internship till date but that was great got a good experience over there and now i have left with 3 more internship lets hope for the best
Placement Experience
Placements are really good here many companies comes at campus every year each year the number of companies increases and the highest package is about 32LPA and students are allowed from 7 semester to enroll in campus placement program 100% placement is assured if u are scoring more than 7.5 CGPA and having no backlogs at all my plans are to get degree and try to get the campus placement if possible
Fees and Financial Aid
Im currently in the Btech of Civil Engineering program at UPES Dehradun and me and my batchmates fee structure looks like follows Year wise fees structure including all fees except hostel and travel 1st year :- 2,55,000/- 2nd year :- 2,50,000/- 3rd year :- 2,25,000/- 4th year :- 2,25,000/-
Campus Life
There are many festive function here each and every festival is celebrate and other than that here are many more function college annual function urja and many more my experience is really good here are some clubls also for students to be a part from uni itself
Hostel Facilities
I have a rented accommodation over here and ist facilities are really good its a bit expensive here to live but the property in which i live is really good fully furnished and comfortable environment the landlord are also good food is good nearby
Admission
To be really I haven't applied to any other college because i have selected this college very earlier its self and the things that make this college better then others are the infrastructure , location, faculty, resources, study material, staff , sports facilities and many more
Faculty
No doubt faculties are really good here at UPES they are very much educated and the ratio of faculty to students is 1:40 average ratio . The labs and the equipments at the lab are properly maintained and u can see each type of lab over here . There are basically 3 exams in an semester in which there are 2 class tests , 1 mid sem and at last end sem
Interview Experience
Yaa there are some criteria to fill to get the admission u need to score more than 50% in your 12th and then the entrance test which is MCQ based not that much hard to clear its easy but the seats fills up fast there is no GD
Night Life
Night life here is really good at both in and out campus its a safe area to live many local people also live around the university and in campus night life is like really good u can make may friends from different courses
